an international group of scientists met for a three day conference at this location. the rooms are terrible- dated, dirty floors, mold in the bathroom, musty odor everywhere. this property has not been remodeled in decades. the common outdoor area is neglected with old furniture and fake grass. there is no beauty nor attention to the space. the kitchen staff is lazy and rude. the service areas for coffee and tea are dirty, the table cloths that cover the space are sticky with dirt and stains that have been there for many days. the kitchen staff lays out the food and disappears to surf the internet or text with friends. the group received acceptable breakfast choices that some are more suitable for dinner. the food that was served for dinner was remixed and served for breakfast the following morning. one kitchen person sneezed in the kitchen as she was preparing the food, she was not wearing gloves or a net to cover her hair. she was clearly upset I notified the office that the food area was filthy and she made sure I see she is pissed off as she reluctantly began cleaning and sweeping the floor as people were still eating breakfast in that space. how unprofesional. despicable. the cleaning crew does not make the beds, does not replenish soap in the bathroom- even though I asked for it- and there was no hot water in the shower on the last morning. the business is evidently run poorly, the management does not care about the guests and the cost is absolutely not justified. the access to the facility goes through a construction zone and there is no signage in English! a few of the non hebrew speaking guests got lost on the first day. totally unacceptable. since this facility is private on kibbutz land there was no access to a swimming pool. we are embarrassed to have exposed European guests to such sub-standard facility. there are much better options around western Galilee and we will never ever return to this particular facility.
