If I could give it less than one star , I would but I booked this place at the last minute as I had a seminar to attend nearby . As soon as I checked in , I found out that this hotel was not a part of the Extended Stay America franchise anymore and it is now privately owned so I figured since it was under new management , it would be quite an improvement from the past property . However , as soon as I got into the room , I was relatively shocked to find out that there were visible stains on the carpet from God knows what and apparently , whoever is responsible for maintaining the place is evidently not doing their job at removing these dried up stains . When I tried to walk out the back door , I saw what appeared to be a group of ***** hanging out in the parking lot so I had to wait until the coast was clear to get the rest of my stuff out of my car . Like its predecessor , the ESA , you would have to walk up to the front desk to get a fresh set of towels and don’t expect housekeeping to clean your room unless you stay there for a long time ( which I don’t intend to given the state of poor maintenance on the property ). Also , I found out that my keycard was always deactivated each time I left and had to ask the front desk to re-program it for me . Larry , the place reeks of cigarettes with trash scattered about in the parking lot and the staircase by the back door .

The room was not ready for guess. First off, the room had a musty and damp smell. After turning the AC on and shutting the windows, we left the room to go have dinner. Upon returning, the room had the same smell and that's when we noticed the fire alarm hanging from the ceiling. I went to the front desk to tell the clerk. He said that he would be up in 10 minutes. While waiting for the clerk, I tried to turn on the TV (it never turned on for me). The clerk reinstalled the fire alarm and solved the TV issue (it turned on). After he left we discovered that the water was seeping up from the seams of the tile floor when you stepped on the tiles. At this point I was over it (knowing that that was a potential health risk issue), I went back down to the clerk to either get another room or get a refund. the clerk informed me that I could not get a refund and that he was booked up, but that he would give me another room if someone canceled. again that room was not ready for guess

Pleased to find a close by location that was a pet friendly place and had kitchen in room and the staff were friendly.

This hotel should be rated 0 or negative (absurd) if possible. Be highly aware that this hotel may cancel your reservation right before your check-in time with a lie of "invalid credit card". They will provide you an opportunity to stay in it with an elevated room rate.

Everytime I get a room at the Extended Stay I feel like I am at home. No matter what city I am in or what county The Extended Stay has met my needs 100%. And treated me like family. You can't go wrong with the hotel chain. They have always made me feel comfy and cozy!

Stayed here for 10 days. Could hear the people above me walking around their room. When I leave, I always shut off all the lights. Upon my return the main light was on in my room. When I asked they said no one had been in the room. No housekeeping in the 10 days I was there. When I asked about it, they said housekeeping happens every 5 days. After 5 days, I inquired again, still no housekeeping

Smooth check in process. Excellent location next to the freeway. Room was good with a kitchen and a nice bathroom. Everything was clean and had a good night. Ordered food delivery and no issues. Reasonable price and great for last minute stay

Arrived at the hotel only to be told my room wasn't available due to their system overbooked the hotel by 15 rooms! I initially booked a room with 2 queen beds so after 20 mins or so the hotel clerk finally gave me a room with a king bed. This room wasn't cleaned properly as I saw fingerprints on the table, dog hair in the bathtub, a roach in the kitchen sink and one in the bathroom. The bathroom sink had a slow drainage. My wife & I gave the room a thorough cleaning ourselves with our lysol wipes & lysol spray & clorox. The hotel now smell like dogs, the carpets need cleaning inside the rooms & the hallways! Glass on entrance doors are dirty & so are the walkway entrances! This is sad as their is no pride in maintaining the cleanliness of this particular hotel in La Mirada, California! Needless to say, I won't be staying there anymore and now will be going back to the Residence Inn for future get aways! I won't even get into all the dog barking going on throughout the night! Terrible stay!

The room was clean and staff was super friendly. There was a continental breakfast too. The hotel seems a bit dated and needs some updates though. The location was close to highway exits and close to Inn and out. It’s also a quick drive 5 to Disney.
