Because it is simply the best. Beautiful views, great food, fantastic experiences to explore the area in Summer and Winter. Excellent customer Service skills from all the staff. Michelin star restaurant. Topped off with a gorgeous spa and a relaxing massage ….

Called in to look over the hotel and possibly book dinner in their Michelin starred restaurant. Unimpressed with the menu so decided to dine elsewhere that Saturday evening. Ordered two coffees in the lounge. They took over 30 minutes to arrive and when they finally did they were cold and the wrong coffees! They were remade and the correct ones brought. We were told there would be no charge for the original ones!! Asked for the WiFi password and the waitress said she would get it for us. Never saw her again. On attempting to pay we were told the card machine in the bar wasn’t working so we had to wait while another machine was found. Overall, a dreadful first impression. A 5 star experience it certainly was not. So glad we decided to give dinner a miss. Fawlty Towers lives!

Absolutely wonderful There is nothing to say apart from absolute perfection. The attention to detail was incredible. The area in which this hotel is situated is stunning. I’m really sorry that I had such a short stay. I think it’s fair to say that I’ll be back with the family.

The Hotel Royal staff are very professional and take their job seriously. We were impressed with the friendliness, proactivity and efficiency. The hotel is very comfortable and the spa a joy. Highly recommend for a romantic get-away. ---

Excellent location, friendly service and great accommodation. We had a great time and we will return very soon. The bar was exceptional and the wines excellent. I could have spent a long time going through the wine list.

The view of the lake is amazing. The food was delicious and the staff was great. My wife and I really enjoyed our time at the hotel. It was about an hour away from Morzine but definitely great to come back to after a day on the slopes.

Wonderful weekend break at the Hotel Royal in Evian… The public areas, the extensive gardens and bedrooms were immaculate and such a beautiful experience. The refurbished spa and massages were also a welcome distraction and relaxing experience that made the weekend as did the delicious evening meal and extensive breakfast in the Veranda restaurant. One call out for an exceptional member of staff is for Anais who was a junior team member who delivered a gift to our bedroom and who was working in the breakfast room on Sunday morning… She was an absolute delight, remembered our names and could not do more to make our stay memorable and ensure we will return… Actually, everyone of the staff were incredibly attentive and a credit to the brand… Thanks for the great weekend…

The hotel and hotel grounds are breathtaking. Quiet and serene with beautiful views from every window. Our check-in was easy and efficient. Many thanks to Laurent for his kindness and effort - especially thankful for the surprise tea set in our room when I mentioned I wasn't a coffee drinker! Hospitality at its finest. The gentleman who parked my car and brought it out when we left was very kind - I wish I got his name. Thank you to him! The room was spectacular - spacious, high quality amenities and comfortable. Evian spa available with sweet staff and indoor pool that kids can access at certain times. Outdoor infinity pool overlooking the lake. Breakfast was ok - plentiful but nothing interesting or "amazing". Dinner at the Veranda on site was ok - the kid's menu was plentiful (4 courses!) and my daughter found it delicious. Staff was lovely with her, too (thank you!). My dish of the ravioli was ok - did not love it. Pumpkin soup with chestnuts was good but slightly bland - had so much potential! Worst part about dinner was being asked by the gentleman at the host stand if we paid the check on our way out - that was so rude and demeaning, especially as hotel guests. We did pay, which I informed him, and he just said ok - no apology to us. He was also the same gentleman who, when arriving at the restaurant for our reservation initially, showed us a table in the far back corner away from everyone else. He may need some training. Loved the property overall would rec!
