We stayed here end of July / start of August and had a fantastic time. It was busy and had a very upbeat atmosphere, lead by the animation team who worked extremely hard all day. Main Pool was a good size, gets busy but there are other quieter pools that we didn't visit. The water park is excellent for the kids [and adults] and one of the better hotel waterparks I have been too. There's also a wave pool which my 10 year and myself enjoyed. The views from the beach bar are fantastic, especially in the afternoon when all the yaughts are passing. The beach bar is where we would eat lunch most days, there is plenty of wasps and at times pigeons/seaguls lurking, so if that annoys you sit inside the beach bar rather than outside seating. I had read bad reviews about the food on Facebook groups and on here but I was pleasantly suprised, all 3 of us always had something we enjoyed. I would like to compliment the guy at the BBQ out the back which I used most nights, that was really good. Staff were pleasant. On an evening, at the bar near Reception we used to treat ourselves to a couple of paid cocktails [there are still plenty on AI]. I must say the mojitos were outstanding for €5, much cheaper than the €18 you pay in puerto banus and even better. Drinks on all inclusive were fine and the soft drinks you serve yourself which is handy. Rooms were big enough, bathrooms nice and cleaners were excellent, room was always spotless. Sports and Leisure, I used to play adult water polo everyday which I loved, there was also kids / teems versions beforehand. We used the pool table and air hockey tables each day and is very reasonably priced [pool €2, air hockey €1] there is a tennis court that doubles up as a football pitch and a gym inside too, so all bases are covered. Evening entertainment wasn't our cup of tea, instead we sat in the outdoor bar near reception and played cards or chilled whilst our boy played football behind the entertainment with about 10-20 kids every night where he was able to make friends very quickly. Nothing of any real note immediately around the hotel. There is an aldi 5 min walk and some restaurants. I walked down the beach to the next village [San pedro] so there are things if you want to go for a morning stroll. We visited puerto banus several times, uber was around €12 or the hotel can book a taxi. Alternatively the hotel puts on a free bus 3 times a day, the last one at 7pm. Suggestions to improve - maybe bottles of water to be available rather than the water fountains, but that's not the end of the world, and the pool tiles were sometimes rough if moving vigorously [water polo] but all in all a very good stay, we will be returning this year as a bigger family and taking some friends too as we really enjoyed it.
