Spent a week here in late February. I have to say, I went without particularly high expectations given the price point, and couldn't have been happier with what we got in the end. The hotel is beautiful - the view as you walk into the lobby out over the ocean and the pools is stunning - a great start. We hired a car, and there was free parking on-street right out front, so no issues there. There's nothing else in the immediate vicinity, so no concerns about security or anything like that. Check-in was straightforward - the chap on the desk was very friendly, and it was all sorted seamlessly in a matter of minutes. The facilities on-site are pretty good - again, bear in mind the price bracket of where you're staying and it all seems pretty fair. The pools are a little tired looking, but spotlessly clean (as is everywhere else), and there's a limited amount else to do on-site (outdoor table tennis table, indoor pool table, french boules area). The gym is functional, with a nice outdoor exercise space and plenty of weights/equipment for a holiday workout. There is also an indoor pool, jacuzzi and spa which we didn't use, but they looked popular and in good shape. Room - clean and comfortable. The major drawback here is that our double bed was actually two singles pushed together, so they had a tendency to slide apart with any significant movement. Depending on your relationship that might be a bonus - I slept great all week! Again, nothing fancy, but perfectly serviceable for all the time you spend in it, and all the basic UK channels on the TV if you want a taste of home. Food - again it's affordable all-inclusive, so temper expectations - but we had no complaints. Partner is a vegetarian and I'm essentially a carnivore, and there was plenty to eat at every meal for both of us. Each night is themed to a cuisine, and some are better than others, but I was pleased. There's a different 'live' station every night, so freshly cooked fish and meat are in plentiful supply. Drinks - this is probably the biggest let down. There is plenty available, but the quality is fairly poor. They have passable house wine available at every meal (red, white, sparkling), as well as draft lager, which is fine. They have bars open pretty much all day serving the same wine, draft and bottled beer, and pre-mixed cocktails (which are generally pretty awful - sickly sweet). You can buy 'premium' cocktails, which to be fair are freshly made and good quality, but 6 euro a pop if you don't want the stuff coming from the fountain. We're not big drinkers, so it wasn't a deal breaker, but this is the only area where I felt we were at a budget resort after all. Location - There is a beautiful beach about 5 minutes' walk down the hill - it's a bit steep and uneven in parts, so not great if you have mobility issues, but fine for the most part. There are two (unaffiliated) bars on the beach that close around sunset, but nice for a change of scenery (and decent drinks). Other than
