Club Jandía Princess

3rd trip this year just great! All I can say is I must be on a different holiday from the reviews saying food poor! It’s excellent there is so much choice. We prefer breakfast overlooking the sea at La Chosa and we have eaten there previously for lunch but out of season it’s more a snack lunch there. The main restaurant continues to serve a full select lunchtime. The staff without exception were all lovely. The evening live music was really good too. We love the long expanse of beach and the views. We will return again for some much needed sunshine. We also love going into the local town and recommend the Fuerteventura all day trip with lunch. Really interesting to gain an insight into the history of the Island.

The hotel room was a good size with a large modern ensuite suite. The restaurant was split into parents with children and those of us without a great ideal. Plenty of food choice but beef tended to bee a built tuff. We were in adults only area and had no problem in finding sun beds Around two large pools there were plenty of sun beds available for families. .All inclusive was well worth while with ample wine, cocktails, beer and non alcoholic drinks. Weather was great temperature up to 29c and only two cloudy days in eleven and rain as we departed.

Just spent a week here the weather beautiful and warm the hotel is need of a bit of TLC but nothing too major, there’s a few pool to choose from we used the adult one but very cold, location of the hotel on the beach, steps down to the beach not really good if bad on your feet, All staff were friendly and helpful and very hard working our room cleaned every day and had fresh towels daily, food not to my liking but was ok I’m not a fish or meat lover but didn’t starve but hubby was please with what he had, no sunbed wars, but beware alot of naturist on the beach, Would I go back yes I would

We had a comedy start on arrival when we walked into our room to a flooded floor. We had been left a cold bottle of champagne in an ice bucket on a plate. Must have been there for a long time as the ice had melted and the plate filled up and spilled over the surface and down onto the floor. Used the toilet right away after the long transfer as lots of stops and the toilet roll holder fell off the wall and down behind the toilet. There it stayed for the whole 2 weeks and was still there when we left. We stayed in room 6305 and had noisy thoughtless neighbours on both sides so we had rubbish nights sleep constantly. The walls are extremely thin anyway, you can literally hear EVERYTHING in the next room and when i say everything i mean everything The resort itself is lovely, plenty of places to sunbathe, no rush for beds. Pools are freezing cold. The animation team are all fantastic. Food is very hit n miss and we didn’t enjoy much of it. All inclusive here is not all inclusive at all. There are only a few drinks available to all inclusive, if you want other drinks you need to upgrade. Staff are brilliant and friendly. We met some wonderful people who have been coming to this hotel for 9 years but said this was their last time as it is going downhill. Lots of tired and broken areas in particular the adult area above the waterfall, the wall was all broken away and the fence is very wobbly. Overall we still had a great holiday as we didn’t worry about the little things but would we return? Not sure. One thing we were very disgusted about is the lack of respect from the holidaymakers. The gardeners work so hard to make it beautiful yet the smokers who cannot be bothered to grab an ash tray just use the planted areas above the waterfall as ashtrays. So lazy and disrespectful!! Tip- book an end room so you only have one neighbour.

On my 4th night at the hotel as I write this. Have you ever had a pool so cold you can't use it while on holiday? That's the Janida Princess pool. The pool is so cold, bitterly cold that everyone is moaning about it, but nothing is being done. We've now resorted to sneaking to the hotel down the road "All Sun" to use theirs, then coming back here to chill out, eat, drink etc. Want a dip? Walk 150 meters to another hotels pool as this one is terrible. Adults have resorted to using the 2 foot deep "child pool" as its a little warmer, but not much. That's how bad it is. Not only is it freezing, it has hundreds of missing tiles, and the bar located in the hut, which is the prominent feature of the hotel, is closed all day. You spend all day looking at an empty bar that only opens at night, could serve ice cream, drinks, kids ice drinks etc, nope...and empty, closed bar. All day. As for the rooms..I'll let the photos do the talking. But if broke tiles, broken wardrobe, taps hanging off the wall, room not updated since the 90s is 4 star...then every hotel I've been to the past few years must be 5 star, as this is so dated its unbelievable. Upsides...lovely location. Great beach. Food was pretty decent. Kids enjoy the arcade and animation team stuff.

I was nervous about booking the hotel due to the mixed reviews. However, I had nothing to worry about. Great staff, rooms were clean, food in the restaurant had a good variety, bar staff were very efficient, easy access to the beach. We had a great stay and I would return. The hotel is a bit tired and could do with a fresh coat of paint but doesn't stop you having a great time.
