There is nothing of tourist value in Ermelo. But if you must stay there, this is the place to stay. We were coming back from the coast, on our way to Johannesburg airport the next day. This hotel is about a two and a half hour drive from the airport, making it a good place to spend the night in order to break up the journey. Julie and her parents are very nice people who made sure we were comfortable. The hotel is secure with internal parking behind a gate. The cottages are well-furnished in a traditional rather English style. The breakfast and water pressure are good. The two little dogs are very sweet and friendly. We would stay there again if in Ermelo.

Warm bed, good warm shower and lovely breakfast even though it was winter. Super service minded owners. Secure place and property Animals on site (dogs and parrots) Mind the potholes on the road leading up to the guesthouse

The hosts were very welcoming and the place is lovely. The room was comfortable with everything working. Having a generator was really helpful as there was load shedding while we were there and we were not affected in any way. The breakfast ambience was truly great and the breakfast itself wonderful. It was a very worthwhile stopover for us.

Hosts George and Sue are great. Very helpful and attentive. Only minor drawback was no A/C but they provide fans - it was cool enough in the evening to be fine with the fans on. We would definitely stay here again when in Ermelo.

We had a quite and safe stay at Pennylane. We enjoyed being close to everything in Ermelo. The hosts were very nice people and we had a good chat . They were very diligent in following all the covid rules! We will definetly stay there next time in Ermelo.

Very cozy place with all amenities for a stop over. Our host was very friendly and very professional...Even though Ermelo is quite a busy place, Pennylane guest house was superb. Had a wonderful time watching with the macaque and the love bird

The host is an overall nice person, they have everything you need in the rooms for extra comfort. They have a generator for those load shedding hours.The area is nice and quiet soo you a guaranteed a goodnight sleep.
