Les Suites du Champagne de Venoge

We stayed one night at Les Suites du 33 & it was just beautiful. We had driven from Mechelen, Belgium and arrived much later than planned. On arrival the staff were leaving for the day. We were extremely apologetic for our late arrival & the staff were more than happy to wait and check us in. Our suite was spacious and just beautiful. There was parking available onsite during our stay at no extra cost. All amenities we needed were provided. Breakfast the next morning was delicious & the service from the staff was excellent. The weather wasn’t great so we asked the staff if we could borrow umbrellas for the afternoon, which they were happy to oblige us. The property is stunning and the champagne is very nice too! Located on the Avenue de Champagne it was an easy walk to the other Champagne houses and centre of Epernay.

Firstly the location, which was fabulous complimented by the availability of secure parking. The presentation of our three room apartment was excellent with a spacious and well equipped living area (just to note, this apartment is upstairs and there is no lift). There are drinks and plates of light bites available in the courtyard in front of the chateau. Breakfast was taken in the room immediately below our apartment and was very well presented with impeccable service. Stayed here for one night and certainly will return

We absolutely love this place and this was the second time we've been here. The service, especially by the manager who checked us in/served breakfast etc was outstanding. Rooms are spacious and perfect for a family of four. Everything was clean and the location is just outstanding. We will definitely be back here!

Just returned from a 2 night stay. Absolutely fantastic in every way. Had a tour of the house with a Champagne tasting to finish,really worth the money. Breakfast was simple but of the highest quality. The staff ( I actually dislike calling them staff as they were more like friends) were so helpful and obliging,from helping with electric car charging to booking a private boat trip (definitely recommend that) . The Avenue de Champagne is a site to see. If you’re going to Épernay this is the place to stay.

The property is situated in the period gate-house of Champagne de Venoge so tastings of their various champagnes are available on site. Our room (#4) was upstairs with a view of the extensive, peaceful garden which is worth wandering around. The suite was a good size with a small kitchen area and mini-bar containing several bottles of their champagne. Tastefully decorated in neutrals with wooden window shutters to keep out the heat and light. Superbly comfortable, huge bed, a decent sized shower-room with organic toiletries. We were encouraged to park our convertible at the front of the house which was convenient for us and nice for them. The Venoge HQ in the main house was quiet as we stayed over the weekend. It started bustling on Monday morning as we were leaving. All the staff - particularly the weekend team whom we go to know - were helpful and professional - it was a perfect weekend.

We stayed for two nights. This is a true bed and breakfast as they offer very little beyond that. We booked the place based on the pics and description on their website. The website never informs you that the room has bars in the windows and that ALL windows are covered with semi transparent fabric so the room looks like a nicely furnished, dark prison cell. The pictures of the room outside attached to this review. Super overpriced for what it was. I communicated my dislike and was very happy to pay extra for a better room but they didn’t have any available. Following that there was zero effort to make the bad situation any better. Few months before arrival I communicated with them that it was my husband’s bday weekend trip, there was not even a note or happy birthday from any of team. Zero effort. A month before arrival I wrote an email asking asking about wine and champagne bars in the area. I was sent a generic list of local restaurants, none of them wine bars. Zero effort. There is generally zero effort and zero hospitality here. You get the key to an average room, you pay and beyond that nobody cares and nobody is interested. Honestly it was the biggest hospitality disappointment I had ever since we went to Sofitel Strasbourg two years ago. Complete disappointment and as a semi professional traveler I could never recommend this place to any of my clients based on my experience. Better places to stay literally next door, one a bit cheaper, one a bit more expensive but worth the extra cost.
