Casa Olivea - Mya Hotel

I can’t say enough good things about Casa Olivea (formerly MYA Boutique Hotel) in Valle de Guadalupe—it’s a dreamy, design-forward oasis in the heart of Mexico’s wine country. From the moment you arrive, you’re wrapped in tranquility. The architecture is modern and minimal but still manages to feel warm, cozy, and deeply connected to the landscape. Think desert chic meets understated luxury. The rooms are gorgeous—spacious, beautifully styled, and thoughtfully equipped with everything you need. The bedding was heavenly (I didn’t want to leave the bed), and the entire space feels curated for deep rest and relaxation. The food? Unreal. Their on-site restaurant offers elevated, farm-to-table cuisine that highlights the region’s freshest ingredients. Every dish was a standout. Their wine and cocktail list is top-notch, and the service was incredibly warm and attentive without ever feeling overbearing. We also loved the amenities. The pool is a serene little sanctuary, perfect for a post-wine-dinner float or morning sun soak. And for something fun and active, the on-site padel courts were such a unique bonus—we played a few rounds before heading out to explore local wineries. MYA has this rare combination of intimacy, serenity, and style—it feels luxurious, but never pretentious. Perfect for a romantic weekend, a wellness reset, or a laid-back escape with friends. Already planning my next trip back.

The hotel was even nicer than the photos, which never happens. Everything was brand new and very chic. One of the best continental breakfasts I’ve ever had and lovely staff. Couldn’t recommend the hotel, or a visit to Valle more highly. It was a wonderful experience.

So nice and clean, the location is great and mostly quiet. I love the garden by the pool and the breakfast! Rooms are so comfortable. There is a bar with good drinks and also a fancy restaurant with a Michelin mention; but in the top of all the friendly attention and excellent service level. No children or Pets are allowed.
