Very nice hotel and beautiful rooms, I think renovated in 2021. We also attended a first advent christmas lighting which was very well done with childrens chorus and great food and drinks. Thanks for that. Why not the maximum points ? 1. Service quality is not up to a 5star hotel in this price category. Staff is very motivated and eager to do good but one can see that they are in average not very experienced which leads to slippages as no refilling of the tea/cream stack in the room, even after asking for it. 2. In three days at the hotel we had not met one single employee with Swiss origin. We would expect that at least a few would give some local touch. In terms of staff you could not make out the difference between a hotel in Singapore or Engelberg which is disappointing, at least for us.
