I recently had a stay at the Hotel Dirsch, and while there were some positives, there were also some things that left me feeling disappointed. Overall, I am not sure why this hotel has a four-star rating. In this review, I will share my experiences with you, starting with the neutral aspects. Neutral: Let's start with the swimming pool. I found it to be quite tiny for a hotel that bills itself as a wellness hotel. While it was clean and well-maintained, I would have appreciated a larger pool area to unwind in. The sauna area was adequate, but the fact that it was only open from 12-9 pm left me feeling a bit short-changed. If you're looking for a relaxing sauna session before bed, you won't be able to do so here. The room itself was okay, but it was also very small. If you're expecting a spacious and luxurious room, this is not the place for you. However, it was clean and had everything that I needed for my stay. Negative: Now let's move on to the negatives. First of all, in my room, there were no slippers or bathrobe, which I found strange for a wellness hotel. These are basic amenities that should be provided to guests, especially if you're paying a premium price for your stay. Similarly, I was surprised to find that there were no water bottles in the room. This is a standard item that is provided in every hotel, whether you're paying for the water or not. Instead, you have to go to a vending machine, which feels outdated and inconvenient. The bed and mattress were also a letdown. The mattress was incredibly hard, which made for an uncomfortable sleep. If you're someone who values a comfortable bed, you may want to look elsewhere. In the evening, there was only one person working at the bar, which meant that there were long waits for drinks. This was frustrating, especially after a long day of travel. As I mentioned earlier, the swimming pool was quite small, and I found the prices for the hotel rooms to be quite high, especially given the overall lack of amenities. Finally, the gym was outdated, and two of the treadmills were out of order in the evening. While there were other machines available, it was disappointing not to have access to all of the equipment. Positive: Now, let's move on to the positives. One thing that stood out to me was the quality of the food in the restaurant. The meals were delicious, and the buffet was also quite good. If you're a foodie, you'll appreciate the effort that the hotel puts into its culinary offerings. I also found the staff to be friendly and helpful. They were always willing to answer my questions and went out of their way to make my stay more enjoyable. Overall, my stay at the Hotel Dirsch was a mixed bag. While there were some positives, there were also several areas where the hotel fell short. If you're looking for a luxurious wellness hotel experience, this may not be the place for you. The area is lovely and can be recommended highly. Hotel breakfast great. However, the all you can eat concept is a little questionable in the Corona pandemic as crowded queues form at the buffet. Another point of concern was the complete lack of checks on reception with regard to vaccination status. We could have stayed for 3 days in the hotel without a vaccination or test. This was a reason I stayed away from the spacially limited spa area. I would otherwise have enjoyed at least a swim. The rooms were fairly basic and average for the price. Above the hotel lighting was completely outdated and terrible - energy-saving lightbulbs from the early 1990s! There was also dust on the bathroom radiator where one would hang towels. View from room was a wall. I wouldn't complain, but for the price you could stay in Südtirol in a ****+ hotel with culinary high standards and panorama view from pool over the Dolomites. Ok for a short stay. Lovely region. Hotel just average.

We travelled as a couple. The hotel is situated in a very small village, quite far from amenities. There was lots of parking available. We arrived early evening. This was a shame as it didn't give us much time to enjoy the wellness and pool facilities. There are a lot of spa options and if you are coming here for that, then I would recommend giving yourself enough time. The pool and sauna closed at 9pm and only open again after check-out time the next day. I booked a higher category room with separate living area. It was really spacious, looked brand new. At the same time it seemed quite minimalist - a coffee maker would have been a good addition. Breakfast was good - lots of options and the service throughout was very good. For our trip, I think it wasn't worth the money, although it would have been if we had given ourselves enough time to enjoy the numerous facilities - so that's our own fault. I would recommend this hotel.

Great Hotel when passing from south toward Denmark only 15 min drive from A9. We choose to stay an additional day to use the facilities and see the nature around.

Never again this hotel

Wir waren wirklich positiv überrascht. Sehr schönes Hotel, sehr schöner Wellness Bereich. Aussergewöhnlich freundliches Personal, sowohl am Empfang wie im Restaurant.Kleine Minuspunkte bei der Buchung von Anwendungen, hier bestand anscheinend wenig Interesse eine Anwendung zu buchen, musste mehrmals einen Termin nachfragen und wurde immer vertröstet. Zweiter kleiner Minuspunkt das Büfett am Abend, man muss schon sehr früh essen um noch alles zu bekommen und jeden Tag die gleichen Vorspeisen und das gleiche Gemüse. Hier ist mehr Kreativität gefragt. Nichts desto trotz wir werden wieder kommen.

Der erste Super Eindruck, wurde getrübt durch ein kleines Minus das uns nach dem wirklich hervorragendem Essen aufgefallen ist. Wir wollten unsere Getränkebestellung in Höhe von ca. 18 Euro per Karte zahlen.Dies wurde vehement abgelehnt. Kartenzahlung erst ab 20 Euro hieß es.Da ließ sich der Kellner nicht erweichen - absolut inakzeptabel in einem Hotel dieser Preiskategorie . Im Hotel gibt es nur einen kleinen Fahrstuhl. Im sehr großen ,frisch renovierten Zimmer , ging es weiter mit den kleinen Fehlern - leider wurde vergessen einige jetzt übliche usb Buchsen zu installieren. Im großen Schreibtisch war keine Minibar. Platz war reichlich vorhanden. Die wirklich ansehliche Bar war geschlossen. Im Bad hing der Kosmetikspiegel nur lose an der Wand und wäre fast herrunter gefallen. Nun zu den positiven Aspekten - wie bereits bemerkt war das Essen vom Buffet und hervorragend und reichlich vorhanden. Man konnte gar nicht alles probieren, so groß war die Auswahl.Die Getränke sind als hochpreisig einzuordnen.Im Zimmer gab es wegen einer Käferplage ,eine Moskitonetz Schiebetür und einen wirklich großen Balkon mit hochwertigem Stühlen und einem Tisch. Das Bett war sehr groß - nur war leider die Matratze zu dünn, sodaß man beim Aufstehen auf der harten hölzernen Betteinfassung saß.Dies hätte eine dickere Matratze vermieden. Die Nachttische waren klein aber wertig.

Wir hatten 5 erholsame und genussreiche Tage. Freundlicher, informativer Empfang - gutes Frühstücksbüfett - leckere Kuchen/Torten am Nachmittag und abwechslungsreiches Abend-Büffet. Unsere Juniorsuite im Gästehaus war zur Rückseite und damit ganz besonders ruhig gelegen - wir konnten die ganze Nacht bei geöffnetem Fenster schlagen. Ganz besonders angenehm empfanden wir: - den großzügigen Saunabereich mit sehr angenehmen Ruheräumen (da wir innerhalb der Woche im Hotel waren und viele der Gäste Tagungsteilnehmer waren, war es nachmittags im Wellnessbereich sehr angenehm ruhig) und Getränkespender - dass wir für den gesamten Aufenthalt einen fest reservierten Tisch hatten - sehr aufmerksamer, freundlicher und gastorientierter Service Bezüglich der Lage des Hotels: aus der einerseits sehr angenehmen, ruhigen Lage in einem wirklich kleinen Dorf, in dem es ausser dem Hotel und einer Gaststätte wirklich nichts gibt, resultiert leider andererseits, dass man für alle Unternehmungen außer wandern auf das Auto zurückgreifen muss.
