Taj Exotica Resort & Spa, Maldives

This is the third time we have visited Taj Exotica and still in love with this place. The service, room, food and everything about this resort is amazing. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to visit the Maldives, you won't be disappointed! Also special mention to Nutei and the girls from the spa who did a beautiful massage and facial for me, the best l've experienced. Thank you to all the staff that continue to make my husband and I always feel welcome.

Taj Exotica Maldives has been one of the best holiday experiences I have ever had. My wife and I stayed for 7 nights in Aug 2024 in room 203. The island is a short boat ride from Male, and upon arrival check in was seamless. Seamless is the way to describe the entire stay. The staff were incredibly accommodative and thoughtful. The property was spectacular - spotless in the rooms and around the whole island; the house keeping team and the gardening team take great pride in making sure the island looks phenomenal. In addition the beaches were beautiful and the water and sea life magnificent. The staff really make this hotel resort very special. A few special mentions; Nadheem looked after us for the whole of our stay. He was very attentive to all our needs, booked all of our experiences and made sure we were very comfortable end to end. Husham and the Housekeeping team kept leaving surprises for my wife and I in our room and looked after us very well. The service in the 24 degrees restaurant was 5 star and beyond. A special thanks to Ismail, Ashraf, Irufaan and Irey who looked after us spectacularly. We really felt at home and our warm welcome and send off was very touching. The executive chef team, particularly Chef Ashish and Chef Jayant Singh were brilliant. Chef Ashish treated us to off menu dinner items and while usually, I am skeptical of à la carte resort dining experiences, the vegetarian menu here was large, and expertly managed by the chefs - for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. One final thanks must also go to the dive centre team and in particular the Marine Biologist, Ingmar. We had 3 experiences with Ingmar - shark and sting ray snorkelling, coral line planting and a coral reef safari snorkel (signature snorkelling experience). The experiences were spectacular; we felt very at ease with the team and we found Ingmar’s knowledge and passion for marine biology to be infectious. Thanks again to the whole team at Taj Exotica. We can’t wait to return!

You have to see this place to believe it. Some of the most amazing beaches, top notch water sports, beautiful rooms, amazing staff. One of the best hotels you would have stayed, and if you love water, here you are surrounded by it. We currently staying at the property room number 410, and trust me it doesn't get better then this. Come here if you need a life recharge and these guys will deliver a 100 percent full charge. It's the best Taj property we been to so far, and we ve been to alot of Taj.

I have an excellent experience at here,especially the 24-degree team(Nijn, Hassan, Ismaic ,Riyaz,Ismaic,Mhelen and Irfan). Thanks a a lot that they give our the best service. I was impressed a lot. I will miss you guys, my friends. This island is very beautiful. Hopefully, I can take my family to come here again.

The staff were amazing Our Butler, Ms. Payel Sengupta had a broad and welcoming smile and even saw us off with a large sign. She was so warm! MHelen in the restaurant, she was incredible too, she made sure we had a great cook and dine experience.. and she was so warm and pleasant... Chefs Priyanka and Rajesh were friendly and really nice and made us really tasty food with a smile. They were so nice. The food was exquisite, almost everything was good. Very tasty, just expensive, for us. The rooms were clean and adequately sized. However the toilets were older and need some refurbishment. The showers were strong and had hot water all the time. There weren't any moisturisers or razors though. The manager, Ms. Corrine was nice enough The dive center staff were also good and we found the snorkel with sharks and scuba experience really good. Mr Ali Wassem,their point man at the airport, picked us up and dropped us off, and he stayed with us ALL the way, to check in and even to immigration. I had stayed at a slightly more upmarket Huvafenfushi 6 years ago and we didn't have anywhere this level of service ! Cons: The resort is too close to Male. Too many planes fly over, I'd have preferred a more isolated location. They have an awful morning and evening , smelly and noisy fogging sessions with chemicals that smell like petrol and these penetrate the closed villas, even when the doors are closed They do it at 0530 and evening, and this woke me up 3 mornings , I really wish they'd use some herbs or incense instead. The pool is quite small and is salt water instead of fresh. The poolside restaurant has a great pizza oven, but very mediocre dough... I expected a lot more. The gym had only one working treadmill, and the other was out of order for all of our 4 day stay.

Hassan from 24 degre restaurant was very wonderful people, let us enjoy very good quality service at 24 Degrees restaurant, including all the staff of the restaurant made us feel very comfortable, the food here also made us unforgettable, this is a forever memory, looking forward to us coming down to Taj Island

This hotel is amazing. Super spacious overwater bungalows and the private pool was amazing. Beds were very comfortable with great soft pillows. The food delicious even though a bit pricey but you are on a private island in the Maldives so I kinda understand. It was a magical place though. Very accommodating, and very nice staff.

This was our 2nd time to visit Taj Exotica Resort and Spa. It was just as unforgettable and amazing as the first one, if not better. The personal touches from all of the staff were incredible and highly appreciated. You really feel special and cared for. I'm amazed at how pleasant, helpful, and sweet everyone is. I was very happy to see our butler Pratha again, she is just an amazing human being and wanted to make sure that we had the best time and experience. She anticipated our needs, remembered our personal preferences, and was very flexible with our sudden plan changes throughout the day. Pratha is probably the biggest factor in why we chose to come back to Taj Exotica instead of another resort in the Maldives. Mainuddin in housekeeping kept our beach villa exceptionally clean and added lovely decorations that we really cherished. Ashish taught us how to cook a Maldivian fish curry, which was so incredibly tasty. Our therapists at the spa had magic hands! Truly the most relaxing massages ever and their hospitality was so appreciated. Shout out to Corinna the general manager who makes sure everything runs smoothly and that the guests are happy with the overall atmosphere of the resort. You literally don't want to leave, ever!!! We are already planning a 3rd visit!!
