Top 5 on my South Africa list of places to visit. Meet my expectations and beyond. The drive to the place is far from OR international airport but once you enter the gate wow wow wow. I will visit this place again. The staff here will treat you like a Queen.

Outstanding lodge, highly recommended. Our daughter and her husband recently had their fairytale wedding at Palala Boutique Game Lodge and spa, and we are all still floating on cloud nine. Words can hardly capture the magic of their special day, but we can say without hesitation that it was the most perfect experience they could have ever dreamed of and Palala went out of their way to make this possible. From the moment we arrived, the warm and professional staff made us feel like royalty. Every detail was handled with such care, precision, and genuine hospitality. The venue itself is breathtaking, a unique blend of wild African beauty and luxurious elegance that created a romantic and unforgettable atmosphere for us and our guests. We stayed in the suites, and it is 5 star plus. Having stayed in various other 5-star resorts, we must admit we found ourselves wondering whether there should not be a 6 star level as this would most certainly qualify immediately. Must just make mention of the bridal suite. It's excellence on par. Huge room looking more like an apartment and interior decorated in the most exquisite way. Special thanks to Michael, who took such good care of us girls the entire day with breakfast, drinks, and snacks. The dining experience is top class. Fine dining in the bushveld, what more could you ask for? Breakfast and dinner were both a feast of taste and innovation. The restaurant overlooks the pool and the river to create that bushveld feeling, but with a 5 star label attached to it. The ceremony setting was straight out of a dream: surrounded by nature, yet styled with timeless class. The reception area was exquisitely decorated, the food was world-class, and the entire team at Palala made sure everything ran flawlessly from start to finish. Our guests are still raving about the service, the stunning suites, and the once-in-a-lifetime experience. In the days leading up to the wedding, we were able to truly relax and enjoy the serenity of the lodge — especially with the added luxury of the Sediko Spa. Spending time there was a wonderful way to slow down and savor the moment, with its world-class facilities like the hydrotherapy area, Rasul chamber, salt room, etc, making it an experience in itself. It added an extra layer of calm and indulgence that we didn’t know we needed but are so grateful we had. It is easy to see why it has won the best spa in the country for a number of years. It is out of this world. Being a big Spa-lover myself, I can, without fear of contradiction, say I have not experienced anything like this anywhere in the world. The gamedrive was extraordinary with the most beautiful sunset we have ever seen. Thanks to the great gamedriver Riley. He is so calm, collective and extremely knowledgeable. He was also the designated driver for the groom, groomsmen, and fathers, taking them for a photoshoot in the bush. This is one of the top resorts and don't miss the spa. The staff was very friendly and made our stay very enjoyable.
