Louis Apostolata Island Resort

I enjoyed my time at this hotel. Stayed on 5 th floor with a lovely view over the sea. Room was clean and had everything we needed. Food was ok, not a lot of gluten free options, especially desserts. But for everybody else it was fine. It's a little bit out of Skala, but that isn't a bad thing, but they have a shuttle there and back and a taxi is 8 euros (reception will call you one if you ask). There are quite a lot of trips, I recommend a boat trip with Captain Vangelis, he dropped us off at the end right to the little jetty next to the hotel. It's also 15 euros a night for 'climate residence tax' that's perfect room rather than person The pool is huge. Note if you are all inclusive you have to pay for food from the snack bar by the pool and any cocktails not on the approved list ( that didn't include Pina coladas, you pay half normal price).

Arrived home last night after 10 days. This was our third hols at this hotel with a 7 yr gap since the last one. It is still THE best hotel we've been to in Greece. Some of the staff still work here....and recognised us..😊 A truly fantastic stay...no negatives,all positive..go..enjoy,you will love it.☀️🇬🇷🧿🍺until the next time!! We've just stayed 2 weeks all-inclusive at the end of June, beginning of July. Private transfers are worthwhile - it took us about 50 mins whereas the people on coach transfers were taking up to 2 hours. We stayed in one of the superior rooms which are at the top of the hill at the same level as the restaurant. This meant you only had to go down to the pool and back, during the day and not again at night as there are a lot of steps. However, if steps are a problem you can arrange a lift on one of the hotel's buggies via reception or the pool bar. Firstly, the good stuff. All the staff were friendly. Across the restaurant, pool bar, main bar and snack bar after only a couple of days most of the staff could remember your room number, that you were all-inclusive, and what you usually had to drink. The food was excellent. I'm intolerant to quite a few things and I never struggled to find something suitable - usually there was too much choice. Snorkelling off the jetty. A bit of a walk down to it, but the snorkelling was excellent. Lots of different fish - like swimming in an aquarium at times. Things that could have been better, There's lots of birds around the hotel - including house martins nesting under a lot of the eaves, where you could see the chicks being fed. However, lots of birds means lots of bird mess. The loungers around the pool and the chairs outside the bar were never cleaned. Around the pool this meant you had to try to find a clean lounger or have to clean it yourself. The tables outside the bar were constantly cleaned but I never saw the chairs being cleaned, so finding a clean chair could be an issue. We never had a problem getting a sun lounger around the pool, however there were many more loungers than umbrellas - particularly on the decking area. This meant that if it had been busier you could have had a problem getting an umbrella, so more umbrellas are needed. Keys - the safe key was the old-style with a physical key. This meant you had to carry the key around with you (and risk losing it), and if you'd come back to the room separately one person couldn't get into the safe. The room key had a fob that worked the room's electrics. You could get a second key, but it didn't have a fob, so if the person with that key came back to the room they could get in but not have any of the lights or electrics on. Around and about The hotel runs a minibus into Skala several times a day, we used it a couple of times. Both times the Roman Villa was supposed to be open, but wasn't, however it's easy enough to see over the fence. The minibus also does a run to Poros, including photo stops on the way. You only got 3/4 of an hour there which is plenty enough time to see everything in Poros twice and get a coffee. We did a round the island sights trip arranged via reception. Just back from this lovely hotel. I don’t often leave reviews but was a little sceptical after reading other reviews prior to our visit. So …. We are very foodie and I would say the restaurant is pretty good. Caters for all and staff fantastic. Rooms are plenty big enough and have everything you need. Fantastic pool area Don’t like entertainment or animation but we didn’t hear this from our room. Not a British 5 star but definitely a good 4 If you’re super picky I’m sure you’d find fault but for us it was a great base for a super weeks holiday. Car essential

Great position views amazing Staff couldn’t do enough Pools great BUT Needs a complete update Definitely not 5 star Rooms faded and dated but big balconies with amazing views Bar and restaurant staff slow to attend Pool bar lady was amazing It’s way out of Skala but does have a shuffle bus Food well this is its down fall main buffet restaurant Breakfast no freshly cooked omelettes or fresh orange juice or cava Cold fried eggs coffee was good Same stuff every morning Lunch probably the best option of the day nice salads and ice cream Puddings are s disappointment Cheers rubbery Very little fresh fruit at every meal Wine good we stayed all inclusive Cocktails weak and watery Beer ok Room cleaned each day and fresh towels great Buggies always available to take you rind the resort The a la carte restaurant was reall good and they really pushed the boat out for our anniversary Staff there amazing On summary A disappointment for what we paid Also Greek taxes per night 15 euros I felt a rip off as certainly not .5 star With a refurbishment and update could be a great place to stay But we will not be returning Such a shame we had such high hopes Think in future we will stick to the smaller more intermet family run hotels

My wife and I recently had our honeymoon at the apostolata . We found the staff to be very friendly and welcoming. Yet the highlight of our stay was the entertainment duo . Both Peter and Lenny , are a credit to the hotel. Their ability to interact with all guests. Not mater age , or gender. Showing a real passion for what they do , certainly made the stay that much better . Keep up the good work guys , u are the most memorable part of our stay .
