Lexington Inn & Suites NW Chicago Elgin

We opted to stay here due to a long drive and needing to sleep. We didn’t read ahead much but the reviews are accurate. The hotel smelled strongly and it was dirty and cold. The staff was friendly. The cash deposit was not something we knew when we booked but after reading the fine print, it does mention it. We did get the cash back after she inspected our room at check out. We literally brought nothing into hotel. I brushed my teeth at a gas station. The bed was fine and it gave us some sleep but let’s just say if my kids had been traveling with us, we would absolutely never have stayed. We got there at midnight and we left at 5:30am. If you are in a bind, it works for a place to crash but def do not recommend otherwise. So sorry to leave a review like this. I wish it wasn’t so smelly and cold. P.S. the room didn’t smell like the hallways. If it had, we would have had to leave.

Quiet and clean upgrade to motel 6 simikar to ramada. With a ok breakfast .

Don't bother Checked out the same night. The entire hotel was under construction. All the doors were open and birds were flying in the halls. They charge a $60 refundable cash-only deposit. Then go inspect the room after you want to check out to make sure you didn't ruin it. The rooms smelled old and musty. The bed was not comfortable and smelled funny. Bathroom was not clean. I wouldn't suggest any one stay here unless they absolutely had to.
