Marjorie's Kauai Inn

Simply amazing! We enjoyed 2 of the 3 rooms at the inn during 2 separate 4 night stays. Veronica, our host was fantastic. She made fabulous breakfasts each morning and kept the shared fridge and pantries well-stocked for hikes, beach outings and late night snacks. The views from the lanais are spectacular and make a great setting for sunset cocktails or whatever. They provide all the gear you'd need for anything. The driveway is a bit steep but manageable and overall well worth it. We would definitely return.

Our 6 nights in this paradise were a highlight of our 2 weeks in Hawaii! We were fortunate to meet Alexis and Mike and Jim and Jenn! Breakfast each day was superb and we greatly appreciated the snacks and lunch items for our road trips each day. We had the Valley View room and our lanai was amazing for our morning coffee, several dinners, and evening cocktails! We even got a sighting of a Pueo owl flying by our lanai. The driveway is tricky but manageable.

Thoroughly enjoyed the B&B. Room (Tradewinds) was clean and very well appointed. The view from the lanai couldn't be beat! Veronica's breakfasts were always delicious and fresh. They made sure we had everything we needed for a boat trip so we didn't have to pack things like beach towels, which was appreciated. My only minor comment is the bathroom could use a little facelift/TLC. Also note: the bed was very, very soft (one of those plush foam beds) so if you require a firmer mattress just be advised (we do not but just a comment in case that's a concern for you).

We selected Marjorie's Inn based on the positive Tripadvisor reviews and we were not disappointed. Located in a tranquil position about 30 minutes from the airport and 10 minutes from the beach, the Inn provides a stunning view over the Lawai valley. Alexis and Mike are great hosts; they gave us a very warm welcome and provided excellent advice as regards what to see and where to eat. Moreover, Alexis is a great cook and provided a sumptuous breakfast each morning made using fresh, local produce. In addition to home-made pastries and bread, she provided a delicious entrée each day. Alexis also encouraged us to take food for later in the day either from the breakfast area or the well stocked fridge located in the basement. Our room was spacious and had a long, wide balcony over-looking the valley. We sat there in the evenings as the sun set and on clear nights were treated to a wonderful array of stars. If you want a traditional B&B in Kauai with great hosts, delicious food and located in a wonderful setting, then you could do no better than Marjorie's Inn. Thank you Alexis and Mike.

This three room BnB has a nice location with lovely views from the large lanai. Alexis is seriously personable and fun and kind and the best chef we've encountered at any BnB with a huge breakfast spread that is second to none--home made pastries often only attempted by a French pastry chef, meat, cheese, fruit, juice, a hot dish and so so much more. We LOVED the snacks & sandwich makings in the fridge and enjoyed dinner on our gorgeous lanai twice. The room itself was fine, but the kitchenette and bathroom need updating. The only issue was parking --this is the steepest driveway known to man and despite being granted permission to park at the bottom in the carport, three out of the four times we parked things were a touch messed up.

The gourmet breakfasts were great each morning. Always a delightful fresh fruit salad, with passion fruit. Always a different kind of coffee cake, or cheesecake. I was offered a cappuccino each morning!Then there was the main course, which was varied, and always with a small orchid on your plate! Then there was a room with bread, lunch meat, cheeses, juice, chips, candy bars,and other snacks. Many thanks to Jim, Alexis, and Mike, our hosts, for their warm hospitality! Marjorie's was an amazing place to stay in Kauai. From the hosts Alexis and Michael, to the view from our lanai, the wonderful food, the travel tips and the well appointed room, everything was perfect. We would go back in a minute, and hope to do so in the future.

Amazing views, clean rooms, comfy bed and gourmet breakfasts, what more could you ask for? Jim and Jenn were welcoming, helpful guest hosts for our visit. It was a perfect base for all our Kauai excursions and close to everything! Overall a great experience, highly recommend for anyone looking for a unique stay!

Marjorie's Kauai Inn is a hidden gem. Nestled on the beautiful island of Kauai, it's a charming and peaceful retreat just minutes away from pristine beaches, making it an ideal oasis for travelers seeking a tranquil, private getaway. I live on Maui and needed to take a break for the volunteer work I was doing with the Maui fires and this trip recharged me! The inn's gracious hospitality and thoughtful attention to detail are everywhere you look. When I stepped outside onto my room's spacious Lanai, was greeted by the sight of a serene saltwater pool and lounge area at the end of a romantic wooden stairwell, surrounded by swaying palm trees and an authentic Bali Hut, to sit and watch the sunset. I could relax and unwind while watching many different species of birds that call this area home. I also took advantage of "Night Swimming & Stargazing" as on a clear night you can see every star in the sky. Inside the comfortable and tastefully appointed rooms, I found everything I needed to truly relax. Waking to the smell of the Inn’s legendary breakfast was a pleasant morning experience. Each morning there are other guests engaged in fascinating "talk story" sessions with fellow world travelers. The innkeepers will happily share tips, stories, and insights about Kauai's rich history and vibrant culture. They also have a friend that is the "local activity director" who can fill you in on all the new and exciting things happening on island. The inn's central location allows guests to make the most of their time exploring the island's breathtaking natural wonders. The innkeepers are avid hikers and can suggest any worthwhile outdoor activity you might want to engage in. The inn's complimentary concierge services made it stressfree to plan exciting activities and tours. From thrilling door's off helicopter tours to serene hikes along the Napali Coast, there is an abundance of adventures waiting to be discovered. At Marjorie's Kauai Inn, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere is obviously a top priority. All the guests I met seemed to be treated like a cherished member of the Ohana, ensuring a memorable and personalized stay.
