Hotel Best Sol d´or

Las instalaciones del hotel muy limpias. Habíamos solicitado habitación con una cama pero en verdad habían dos de matrimonio. Disponen de neverita con detalle gratuito (kas naranja, agua y Pepsi). En el baño hay secador, champú, gel y crema de cuerpo, también cepillo de dientes con mini pasta y peine. El buffet libre un poco escaso, largas colas para la comida recién hecha y los postres templados en vez de fríos. Además, están todo el rato pendientes para retirarte los platos, cosa que llega a ser molesto. Los animadores infantiles unos encantos. El horario de la sala es justo, se debería ampliar el horario de tarde.

Perfect for families. Excellent food. A lot of space around the pool.pool open at 10 breakfast service till 10.30 so you can get nice sleep by morning.Only one minus that is a que on restaurant for pancake's or frying eggs. The all was perfect Also if you are all inclusive you can buy drinks etc from a bar 70% cheeper. The beach quite close to the hotel with lovely sand.

Hotel was spotlesssly clean, fresh towels daily etc. Our cleaning ladies were very friendly! Pool was great fun for the kids, they loved the slides! However I wouldn't return. I feel the hotel is mostly geared towards Spanish guests, the staff weren't overly friendly (apart from 1 or 2) and some had no English. We got talking to 2 other families that felt the same (English and Irish). Food wise I personally didn't find it amazing (I'm not a very adventurous eater and there was quite a lot of seafood) the meat was barely edible, looked like it was leftover from previous days. I got chicken to try and it tasted off like a bitter taste (that was my last time trying meat there!) and my husband had soup which had definitely turned it was horrendous, he isnt easily put off by food but couldn't eat it. I spat it out! Plus reports from other Irish/English guests that meat was raw! We did find something to eat each time (mostly chips, pasta, rice, some veg and breads) , it was just very repetitive and always had to check the freshness. There was also a huge case of vomiting and diarrhoea through the hotel. It didn't hit us but so many families effected on multiple floors, some needed to attend the hospital. Talk of it being either the food or pool water?! We went all inclusive and on arrival we got no information on what was included, I asked a couple of times what exactly was included and was met with "what do you want" or just a blank stare as if they didn't understand. On the last day we ordered food for 5 of us at the pool bar (chips, toasties) and they seemed so surprised that I was ordering for my whole family and I explained 2 adults, 3 kids and they talked amongst themselves in Spanish and side eyeing me which I just found quite rude. Anyway the kids had fun, that's the main thing! I'd try going more towards Salou centre for our next holiday! Hopefully the hotels there cater more for non nationals, and food is better!

Took my ten year old and four year daughter and it’s completely put me off travelling abroad ever again. I ended up with severe sickness and diarrhoea and so did my ten year old. We’ve now been home 3 days and she is still unwell so will have to be a visit to the doctors for us. Spanish guest where absolutely disgusting, throwing food on the floor all the time and the children where feral and just urinating at the side of the pool near the steps. Only good thing about hotel is location and the kids pool

Firstly I have never written a review before so I'm not a serial complainer but I feel I should post this one. On three separate occasions we were given almost raw food.The staff were unhelpful and sometimes rude.A woman told us that she had complained about finding cling film in her childs meal and the manager said we have over a 1000 guests and nobody else complained!! The lift has been out of service 3 times(not great when your on level 3 in a wheelchair) and when a fire alarm went off we were told to use the lift. I must add that the room was fine but that comes nowhere near to making this hotel a desirable place to stay.

Firstly, the rooms are fine. Basic without tea/coffee facilities. Extremely loud if you have a pool facing room. Loud music/entertainment until 11/12. Secondly, I have never been to a hotel where the staff are so unbelievably rude! Every single person we spoke to throughout our stay was unhelpful and plain rude. Housekeepers being the only exception. Kids entertainment is minimal, with 10mins dancing around the pool. Kids club always too busy with a pushy ‘entertainer’ closing the door in my child’s face because it was full. Raw food, hamburger was pink inside on 2 occasions. 3/4 other people said they had been served raw chicken/meats aswell. Within the week we stayed, the lift broke on 3 occasions, which is just not good enough when my dad is in a wheelchair and stuck on the 3rd floor! Staff didn’t seem to care when you made them aware of this. On our 2nd night there was a fire alarm at 3am. No staff or signs to tell you what to do or where to go. Everyone huddled outside of the main doors for 45mins after being told everything was ok. Police & fire services arrived with not a word from management as to what was going on. No fire evacuation plan, very very poor health & safety. My dad had to struggle down the flight of stairs as we couldn’t use the lift in an even if a fire, which is understandable. Although no alternative was given, staff told us to ‘just use the lift!’ Overall, very disappointing stay. Teach your staff some manners! Avoid.

Had one fantastic stay with yous loved everything had a ground floor room with a pool view which we absolutely loved pools were amazing especially the kids pool with the tree waterfall I found it amazing as I have osteoarthritis it really helped me the staff we’re just amazing especially Maria on reception when we arrived we were getting put up on the 4th floor and I happened to say I don’t like heights and right away she said she would put us on the bottom floor which I really appreciated and every time she was on reception she always spoke to us also Joanna in the restaurant couldn’t have been any more nicer and helpful also people really appreciate it when staff are really nice and friendly and helpful rooms were lovely and beds really comfortable I definitely recommended your hotel especially for families as the entertainment is amazing for the kids place well kept and clean really hope wee can visit your hotel again and once more thanks for the hospitality and lovely stay

Lovely, clean place to stay. Staff were friendly and very helpful when needed. Great for families with little kids I must say, no children there were sat down bored, they have slides, big pool and little pool. Definitely glad we booked half board, which is breakfast and dinner. Reason being food wasn’t that great, edible enough to fill yourself but we personally wouldn’t say enjoyable. Great location to stay at only 10 mins from salou! Definitely would stay again

Really lovely hotel for the price. Very clean maids come into rooms every day to clean floors and make beds. Beach is a 2 minute walk away, great pool with a good little water park for kids. We were self catering as I heard the food wasn’t too good but Very good restaurants in walking distance not to expensive either . La Pineda is a very nice place not too busy with buses going to different places , on the bus we went to Tarragona / salou and Cambrils. Overall had a really good time will be going back!
