Even though we found this hotel on social media, the real thing did not disappoint. The staff was very attentive and even though we had a small problem with the airport pick up they’re more than made up for it with their service. Chilling by the pool, enjoying the food outside and inside as well as the spa treatments were all top-notch. Highly recommend and I would definitely go back. 

The service was perfect all around. After a delayed flight and a long time travelling by plane I arrived late my first day. The staff there at the desk was very understanding and were quick to get me to my room so I could sleep no hassle just straight there. The hotel has a relaxed friendly atmosphere, amazing breakfast buffet and staff that are always ready to help. Me and my partner attended the Friday evening buffet which included live music. These events and services are posted clearly at the Hotel lobby and the Staff know exactly what these events and services entail so there was never confusion about what they were included. Me and my partner also went on Island hopping tours on two of the days we were there. All I needed to do was to tell the desk we wanted to go and they made the call and setup everything. The hotel for me was almost perfect the only downside is the busy road outside. The hotel does provided ear plugs but I personally didn't need them.

The service is outstanding. 10/10 would come back again. They know all our names all the time.

The hotel was accomodating when I requested to move from the 5th floor to the ground floor due to my senior mother find it difficult walking up and down the stairs as there is no lift to the floors. The food at the Hunt restaurant is delicious and the ambience is peaceful. Very friendly staff, they also made up our lunch to go on our 5-6 hour van ride to Puerto Princesa airport.

So nice to stay in this lovely hotel for two nights!! It gave us unforgettable moment ever in my life. The location of this hotel is very near the town and everything is great, especially the pool!!

This place went above and beyond for my family when we stayed at El Nido - The Funny Lion (June 26 - July 3). The staff are very friendly and professional. Their Customer service is 10/10. When you ask for something, they give it right away. The Manager was really kind and helpful especially to my 2 yr old daughter, Valerie. I am thankful and grateful for the team at El Nido - The Funny Lion. There are a few suggestions for improvements I would like to add: Better drainage system for shower. It always seems like the water would go out of the shower especially when it’s raining outside. Also, an elevator would be great for the guest and especially for the staff when carrying heavy luggages. The wifi spotty and could also be improved especially inside the breakfast area. A better mosquito control on the outside near the pool/restaurant area would be nice too. The people on the backyard would burn their trashes and the smoke would fill the whole air of the hotel area and would not be healthy to breathe in (I wish they wouldn’t burn right next to the hotel). This is probably nitpicking but sometimes the music that plays at the bar/restaurant area is not family friendly and uses profanity. The rooms could use a bit of feng shui or something to make it feel more spacious. The room lighting could also be improved (it always seems a little dark even with all the lights turned on).

Wonderful stay at this hotel. Nice personnel and clean rooms. Recommended.

A family room would have been perfect. 1 week environmental fee wasnt fair for a day visit.

Perfect hotel for those travelers who wish to stay closer to the main city, not to forget the exceptional service the staff provides at this hotel. Everyone was so friendly, always greeting us by our names everytime we would pass by at the front desk. Will definitely come back here in a heartbeat!

Many mosquitos in the room. not so many varieties of food for breakfast buffet. The espresso cappucino is not that good. the room pool view is small. I think the color of funny lion theme is dark black so it looks gloomy and small it attracts insects But., i love the free access to papaya beach and free fresh juices and tote bag handkerchiefs. Service staff are so friendly.

Amazing stay at Funny Lion El Nido. Couldn’t have been better. The Hotel crew is fantastic and will make you feel at home. You will not want to check-out and like to stay there for long. If you are planning El Nido, don’t look elsewhere, just stay at Funny Lion. Big shout out to Val and Team for making us feel at home !

we stayed 2 nights and it was lovely. the staff were so nice we really had a good time there. highly recommend the romantic dinner at rooftop with the sunset. the hotel is a simple but well designed one.
