Crocodile Bridge Safari Lodge

We loved it - from the gorgeous view to the wildlife at your doorstep, to the staff, the food and the communal eating. The whole experience was wonderful. It felt very secure there too. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and will remember our time there always.

What a great African experience! Armand & wife were great hosts. A small lodge with very comfortable rooms & excellent views from the lodge. You can enjoy the game viewing from the deck the whole day. The lodge boarders the Kruger National Park which makes for easy access. South African cuisine offered with Wendy as the chief chef rounded off this experience. Interesting acquaintances were made around the campfire that was provided every evening. Pleasant stay & we will definitely return.

We stayed in a tented room which was spacious and clean. The communal areas are immaculate and inviting. Comfortable viewing deck with spectacular animal sightings, like elephants having a swim. The close proximity to the gate entrance of the Kruger was an added bonus. At night we sat around the fire having sundowners and getting to meet the other guests. Our hosts were attentive and always on hand to assist with any queries. The highlight of our stay was the food! The chefs created amazing, delicious and varied spreads each night.

Absolutely loved our stay. Brilliant location, not far from the Crocodile Bridge Gate to the Kruger Park, but you don't even have to enter the park to see brilliant sites, such as hippos, crocodiles, impala and lions. At night you can hear the peace of the bushveld. The rooms were comfortable, the food was amazing and the atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. We would not hesitate to recommend to anyone.

The setting doesn't disappoint. Watching elephants crossing the Crocodile River in the morning and evening is almost guaranteed as is watching hippos graze when the afternoon gets cooler and early evening. Situated right next to Crocodile Bridge Gate you can start viewing animals immediately after starting out. We had three river-facing chalets which were beautiful and well appointed with a kitchenette area. We rented numbers 8, 9 and 10. Personally the kitchenette was unnecessary because of the way we approached our stay so I will choose the river-facing tent number 5 without the kitchenette for my next stay. A basic breakfast can be arranged to take in your car if you want to set out before the set breakfast time. The viewing deck is well situated and a fabulous place to gather with a bevvie and a chat about what's been spotted during your day. Dinner was simple but tasted good and we loved the braai evenings. The pool was also a welcome refresher after a long day in the car and towels were provided by the lodge. We'll definitely be back. This was one of my best Kruger Park experiences. The only drawback is that you have to pay each day to enter the park.
