Super convenient location, right opposite to Edinburgh Waverley train station. Easy access to all major attractions. Chill decor at reception and restaurant area.

The staff are super nice and cute there! And cuz it’s nearby princess street, it’s convenient to go to all the tourist attractions there.

Location is perfect as it is opposite to the train station.

交通太方便了，就在wavely車站對過，去皇家一英里，國家畫廊，卡爾頓山啥的，都衹要步行。設施很簡單，服務員蠻友好的，進出都不需要經過前台，挺私密的。房間算是比較大的，如果是旅遊，每天早出晚歸的話，非常推薦這家。

酒店職員態度親切有禮 地氈不太清潔,一定要自備拖鞋 房間空氣不流通,有些悶焗

相當接近火車站位置亦都很優越，價錢不算太便宜，當然也不算很貴，相當近各個地方的明勝，可以短暫居住，但不適宜全個過程都住在這裏

3樓的走廊早上有服務員用德語大叫聊天 兩天每天都被吵醒 都別來 噁心地方

Stayed here a couple of times before and would definitely recommend it to anyone staying in Edinburgh. Room and bathroom were very clean, hairdryer and kettle included . Loved the Continental breakfast, which included meats, cheeses, fruit, cereals and quirky boiled eggs. Lovely, pleasant staff throughout the building. Very handy for Waverley Station, Princes Street and bus stops. Only negative point some of the chair arms in the dining area, near the fire could do with a recover.

We stayed at Motel One Edinburgh and unfortunately had an unpleasant experience with theft. Two pairs of shoes were stolen from our room, and although we reported it immediately, we received no support or compensation from the hotel. The front desk staff were very friendly and accommodating. The issue was with management, who promised follow-up but never reached out or offered any solution. We understand that theft can happen, but we expected better follow-up from management to look after their guests in such situations. Overall, we definitely do not recommend this hotel.

Cost high for small hot room with only a fan , slept with windows open and fan on full on top of the bed 🥹We have stayed in Motel One in various locations and they have always been terrific and great value for money. We will not be using Motel One again

Location is brilliant, across from train station, 2 minutes from new shopping centre, 2 minutes from Tattu restaurant, staff were lovely. It was clean and large comfortable bed. If you are looking for something central and just to lay your head & shower it’s great. If you’re planning to propose go to hotel across the street 🤣 (Balmoral) Im actually going back next week. Haven’t eaten here but did have drinks in the bar.

This superb hotel is in a prime location across Princess St. from the train station and very close to the main bus station. It is very modern and our room was spacious and very comfortable. Any major attraction (except the ship Britannia) can be reached easily by foot. It is quite close to Carlton Hill and its phenomenal views. However, I would not recommend the breakfast buffet. Instead walk two blocks to Wetherspoons (The Booking Office) which opens at 7AM.

This review is based on the high price and the high expectations that price created. To be honest the best thing about this property was the location. Although the foyer had a cool aesthetic, it was worn out and not all that clean. The room was like an old motel room with some new curtains and fancy cushions. Paper cups, wooden stirrers, packet coffee, no fridge or mini bar, no internal phone, no conditioner or moisturiser, no artwork, complimentary anything?? I’ve been staying in similarly priced hotels in Europe and the U.K. for 6 weeks and they all had these amenities/services. It just felt like an upmarket hostel and at close to $500 AUD I felt pretty disappointed. Nice staff though.

This motel one is in an excellent position for the train station, trams And buses. Also perfect for a stroll into the new or old town. The food is great , love the Greek yoghurt they serve , sounds silly but it is very creamy And delicious. Love the faces on the boiled eggs to help you select hard or soft boiled. The beds are so comfy we both have bad backs And had good nights sleep all three nights. Staff are very pleasant And helpful. We will be using this hotel again . See you next year 😀
