Another very good stay at Destiny Scotland property in Edinburgh this time at Hill St Apartments. Apartment nice, spacious and clean it was in good condition and had everything needed for a good stay. Beds are comfy as are the pillows and the whole apartment is nicely decorated and modern. lovely bathroom with great shower and bath. There is quite a bit of street noise but it is centre of Edinburgh and single glazed windows so this is not unexpected. Only complaint we have is there is no signal on the tv it is all scrambled so the TV cannot be watched if not for that I would have given 5 star review

Surprise visit my the hubby to Scotland for my 30th. Pulled up at the office to collect the keys and the staff were very friendly. The apartment was located the next street along. Parking is available on street at a cost but can also be pre booked (pre booked is located behind the apartments - a one way system is in place on a lot of the roads). There are a few apartments in the building and spread across 3/4 floors. There are no lifts and need to use stairs to access. We had a top floor apartment which was lovely. Very spacious and really clean. We had 4 adults and a toddler. The rooms are big and can fit a travel cot in either bedroom. Really spacious bathroom (ceiling slanted due to being in the roof). Little bit noisy on a night time from apartments across the road (hen party on until 2am!). Kitchen has plenty of space, fridge and freezer. Dining table with plenty seats and large living space to chill and watch tv. Will definitely be staying here again.

This was a great apartment for a family sightseeing trip to Edinburgh. The apartments are in a great location and as a family of 5, was perfect. 2 bedrooms with a sofa bed in the lounge. It suited us perfectly. The apartment was clean and fully operational, with 1 full bathroom and 1 shower room, great for us. Would definitely stay here again.

I can start by saying we will 100% be back! Myself and my wife stayed over Christmas and we wanted to make sure we were in a good location meaning we could enjoy the city and not have to worry about driving, finding parking etc. The apartments are easy to find, and we booked parking in advance which was a short walk away from the apartment at £20 per night. Expensive on top of the cost of the apartment but convenient and just the price you expect pay in a city like Edinburgh. When we arrived we was a little early for the keypad 3pm entry, however a staff member was leaving the building and after showing him our booking he let us in early which was great. I really love the convivence of a keypad check in/check out and if you did have any issues (doubt it) the office was a short walk away. The apartment was immaculately clean, with a large living/dinning area and big bedroom and lovely big shower which had lovely shampoo and body lotions. The facilities in the apartment were excellent with a fully functioning kitchen for us to make dinner on Christmas day. The only things missing which we think would be a good addition was frying pans for breakfast, and a salt and pepper shaker as its not something you would think to bring. The apartment had old windows and the weather meant, the windows rattled we made a make shift wedge to stop this on the second day but would recommend a more permanent option as it did keep us awake. The location was amazing, right near Princes Street, loads of great bars and restaurants such as Rosa Thai Kitchen and cocktails such as the Panda & Sons and Lucky Liquor. It was also only a walk away from the famous Christmas Market. Overall we had a fantastic stay at the Destiny Scotland, we will be back next time we visit Edinburgh and will be recommending the apartments to my clients, friends & family.

The apartment was very minimalist and didn’t seem to have the cosy feel depicted in the photos. The place was very clean and tidy but pretty sparse. Apart from the lack of homeliness, what you see is what you get, nothing more. I would have expected, for the price, to maybe have a small milk in the fridge or a little something ‘extra’. Being on the ground floor was also very noisy. We could hear people coming in and out of the building throughout the night and it sounded like they were not only in the apartment but in the bedroom. If you’re looking for a base to just sleep in this is perfect, if you’re looking for more of a home from home, then I don’t feel this is quite that.

We enjoyed our stay here. The apartment was clean and modern. We were able to store our luggage at the managing property, which was convenient. The beds were comfortable, which is always a bonus.

The stay was lovely. The space is exactly as advertised with a friendly staff to help if any questions arise.

We rented the two bedroom apartment and it was very spacious especially considering its location. Never having been in Edinburgh before we were unsure on whether to stay in old or new town and in the end this was the perfect choice. It was located on a quiet street but very walkable to everything. It was also helpful that the property management office is just down the street and we were able to leave our bags there before checking in as our arrival to the city was well before check in. The staff were very helpful and were very quick to respond to any questions. Overall great apartment and would definitely stay there again.

The apartments are clean and functional albeit very drab and sterile looking. For the cost of the nightly stay I would expect to be able to sleep. It seems as though there were students parties across the road both nights we stayed until 5am. Thanks to single sash windows (probably due to listing) didn’t help. We’d probably get just as much sleep next to a Halls of residence. We’re absolutely knackered.

very rude and abrupt at check out (11am). First we had the cleaner knocking at 1058, I told her my husband was on his way with a rental car to pick us up. She was quite nice. 11:15 a very abrupt lady knocking angrily insisting that we get out as they need to clean, I told her that I had just spoke to my husband and he would be back at noon to pick us up. She was very stressed by this like it was just unbelievable!! she said she would need to speak to the office and maybe they were going to charge us for a late check out, which I am completely fine with!, I explained to her we have a ton of luggage and we can’t possible leave before he gets back with the car or we would. 1145 another angry lady about to knock on the door as we begin to hual our luggage out….she just turned and stomped away….The point is they could have relayed all the same information in a much nicer manner, I don’t need angry women insisting that we get out!!! Not very nice start to the day!! And given they were unable to accommodate any kind of early checkin after our 17hr travel, even with our noon check out 3hrs I think should be plenty to clean a small apartment, assuming there are other guests checking in the same day. We will be back to Edinburgh at least 5 times this year, and if it wasn’t for the check out we would have likely stayed here again in the future, now we will not. In the end we were charged $50 for late check out, would have loved to just nicely been told that.

Fantastic location and apartments was huge. Very happy with our choice of apartment.

Apartment nice but now looking a bit dated, tile in bathroom loose

The residence was not ready for living in when we arrived at 3pm on the day of our check in-Thursday 22nd of June, 2023. There were completely exposed staircase from the front door leading up to the apartment on the 2nd floor. Nails, loud banging, uneven surface and dangerous to enter and exit the building/flat. We wanted to sleep as very tired from travel but it was impossible. I called the management team and the only option was to stay under those unacceptable conditions, or have a full refund. A full refund and finding another accommodation was impossible due to the time of day and no vacancies anywhere else due to heavy demand of festivals/peak season etc. Both the staff member and manager were rude and lacking empathy. The Manager told me it was legal to work for a few hours between 9-5 and that it would be fixed. I told her it would be until at least end of day friday of which it was, but they did a very poor job, left tools and nails and carpets up in that timeframe as well as uneven surface. I have been in touch with *******, and I am going to be posting a review shortly on their website.
