City Padzzz

I booked this accommodation on 1/1/2022 for a new year stay this year at a very good rate and was delighted. However yesterday evening after 1 missed call attempt from the owner at around 6 pm (27/12/22) I received the following text. “Good afternoon, I am contacting you from the City Padzz apartment, unfortunately we will be forced to cancel your reservation for the 31st and 1st. Our team apologizes for the inconvenience” After several attempts to call and being immediately directed to voicemail I finally got to speak to the owner. Who was unbelievably condescending from the get go, telling me there had been a change in policy for pay property bookings as he had had several no shows. As we booked through ********** this would not be a problem as no shows are charged at 100%. I pointed this out and he said the price we had booked for was to low and not sustainable for him! He then also told me my booking was no longer available as it was double booked and when I questioned if it had been sold at a higher rate than we were paying g he actually confirmed this!! He could stay my spoke over me by saying “I will explain again so you can understand” which made me furious as I’m not daft and know exactly the score, he was not happy with what we would be paying and has sold the room at a higher rate. He then tried to pass the buck after telling me he was the owner put me on to the manager who deals with bookings who basically just confirmed everything he had told me. He has rung me back today to tell me that he might be able to keep out booking and stated “ I have to tell you I really do t have to do this for you” as if doing me a favour by keeping a booking that had already stood for nearly 12 months!!!!! This in response to me sending copies of my co formation from ********** stating this booking is guaranteed. This was our opportunity to see my son who lives in Edinburgh for new year and was actually my Christmas gift to my husband. TO AVOID LAST MINUTE DISAPPOINTMENT AND TRULY DREADFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE DO NOT BOOK HERE.

Recently stayed here for 2 nights, (room 3/11) yes the apartment could do with some tlc but it was very clean, comfy and the perfect location. We had the most beautiful view from out apartment. It was quiet given there are so many apartments around it and had brilliant water pressure in the shower. You have the no 10 bus practically infront of the building which takes you straight into the city. A huge selection of bars and restaurants around the area as well. Will definitely return at some point, but will remember to pack a hair dryer as there wasn’t one in the apartment.
