Eden au Lac

We just stayed tow nights here on our way home from a week in the black forest in Germany. We arrived in pouring rain, but from the moment we arrived we felt the warmth of this hotel. As I approached with bags, the lady at reception ran to the door to open it for me, and I was greeted with a warm friendly smile, what a great start. We knew the restaurant and pool were not open at this tome of year, but the rest of the sap facilities were available. The room was lovely, and very comfortable, and the bliss of having a bath to soak aching muscles after the long walks. Every member of staff that we passed were friendly and always a smile. The breakfast room was just beautiful, and with a wonderful view too. The young waiter who looked after the room was very helpful without being invasive, also very helpful with information about the area, and helpful with translations of things we didn't understand, and even when he wasn't sure, he went out of his way to find answers for us. It was a trip to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary, and it really was the perfect place to stay. We had intended using the spa, but in the end we were too tired from all the walks, but we did have a look, and it was amazing, there really was everything you could want. I would recommend this hotel, and the lovely staff to everyone.

Excellent accueil. Les chambres sont spacieuses et d'une propreté parfaite. Idem pour les piscines. Dommage que le sauna et le hammam soient mis en route alors que personne ne les occupe. Un petit geste pour notre planète Le lac qui se trouve à quelques pas offre de belles balades.

Tijdens het inchecken hadden wij gevraagd of het mogelijk was dat wij een 'late' checkout konden, dit was volgens de receptie voor onze kamer mogelijk. Echter bij het uitchecken een zeer chagrijnige dame die het niet normaal vond en zeer naar en onprofessioneel mij/ons te woord stond dat wij 'zomaar' langer in hotel verbleven, dit duidelijk aangegeven maar mevrouw van de receptie bleef zeer star en naar doen, wij waren op de hoogte van de extra kosten en bij het inchecken was dit genoteerd. Zeer fijn zwembad waar de kleine heerlijk kon genieten dus dat heeft de dag goed gedaan. Echt super fijn ontbijt. Maar aan de vriendelijkheid van het personeel(sommige) mogen ze wel wat gaan doen.
