Nkomazi Game Reserve by Newmark

We stayed at Nkomazi from 30March for 1 week. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel special. All the staff were very polite, friendly and helpful. Emmanuel on reception was particularly good along with Jonathan,our game drive ranger. The tented rooms were amazing and the bed really comfy. We loved the outside shower and bath. The food was varied and tasty. Stephen at the bar was also very warm and attentive. The first 3 days of game drives we weren’t able to find any of the big 4. (They sadly no longer have rhinos here). Then for the next 4 days thanks to Jonathan’s efforts we saw lions, lionesses, 2 different leopards, elephants and a cheetah with her 4 cubs!

We liked our stay at the game reserve, our unit overlooked the river which was very relaxing, we only went on 1 game drive due to not seeing any Elephants or Lions which was disappointing and the Buffalo where very far away, the vehicle for the game drive was very old and difficult to get in and out as I have had 2 hip replacements.

Good value game lodge Great lodge and easy driving from Gauteng. Rooms (tents) are amazing. Service friendly and good. The all inclusive is great but limited, but you can buy other drinks if you like.

What an incredible spot in the African bush! Love this place, great service, great team, great food and lovely boma area. Rooms are 5 stars with lovely views and very comfortable. Our guide Seblo was so so good. Lion and Leopard sightings and his knowledge of the bush, animal Spaw and the bird life is incredible. I do think with the prices we paid, the wine selection for all-inclusive could be a lot better as they did have a good selection in the non-inclusive. South African wines are great, let your clients enjoy great wine in all inclusive. Also fill the tent fridges daily for your clients, this would make a big change to other clients who stay there! Thanks again for a great stay.

Superb experience at Nkomazi. From the welcome on arrival to our departure, the management and staff went out of their way to make our stay memorable. The rooms and food were high quality with personalised service. Highlight was the morning and evening game drives. Sibelo is an outstanding tracker and guide.

An excellent stay in luxurious accommodation, in a beautiful setting. Service was exceptional from all the team. We were fortunate to have Sabelo as our guide/ ranger - he was very experienced, a good communicator and great company. The reserve has an amazing variety of landscapes to enjoy.
