Belle Helene Hotel

The makers of "The Shining" called, they want their movie set back. This hotel was the blip on our otherwise fabulous trip to the Peleponnese. Arrived to a cracked up car park with no spaces. Walked into lobby straight out of the 1970s. Chewing gum in the corridor. The hotel room was shabby and not properly maintained. Shower fitting hanging off wall. Cracked walls and floors. Lipstick on glasses. Pool was a bacterial experiment. Really disappointed and underwhelmed. Overpriced by 50%.

Terrible hotel in all aspects! Needs renovation asap! Smelly rooms, walls falling down, poor, messy, cheap breakfast. The beach was not that nice as the pics, broken sun beds, no Wi-Fi, poor assistance! Definitely never going there again and not recommended!

The positives, the polite staff, good breakfast and close to many locations. The negatives according to my personal opinion as a traveller. 1. It claims to be a family hotel so extra attention should be paid to the cleanliness of the surrounding ''beach'' area (cigaretτes, empty bottles and glasses etc.) . 2. Absence of essential services in the rooms, very small fridge and very small 2nd bed (bedbunk) in the 3 bedroom room. 3. The parking area needs organization as we barely found empty spaces. In general old facilities that need renovation and maintenance (rusty bars etc.). 4. Unexperienced staff although polite as we were served different orders or our food was sitting exposed on the counter of the outside beach bar for 20+ minutes before being served cold of course. So to summarize at least for me and my family was not good or ''value for money'' choice.

On a beautiful beach of eastern Mani is the belle Elene hotel. ideal for holidays that offer substantial rest and relaxation. The staff with many years of experience offer their services completely quietly. All rooms have a good view of the sea and a terrace. Good breakfast and variety of food. Especially for children, ideal places without the stress of the car. At the same time, the whole area offers excursions with beautiful beaches and beautiful stone villages.

We (a couple) spent three nights. Location - quite, far from town or village (it is necessary to use the car to go somewhere for a walk o to a restaurant). In front of the private beach of the hotel. Nice beach, well organized. Parking - private of the hotel. Room - clean, old forniture, uncomfortable bed, towels changed daily if needed, poor efficiency of the air conditioner, well functioning wifi. Pool - nice, clean, we didn't use. Breakfast - buffet, quite varied. Dinner - buffet, average quality. A couple of weeks before staying there I asked if it was possible to have almond milk and lactose free yogurt for breakfast. I was replied “We have taken into account your wish, we can not confirm all of the products you have requested but we will do our best to provide most of them”. When we arrived I asked about availability for the products but the receptionist answered me that the hotel never provides them. So I realized that the previous answer (“We have taken into account your wish … “) was just a circumstance response. This created us a problem, since we have food intolerances. We would have preferred them to say no, so we would have chosen a different accomodation. So we made up for the hotel shortage by purchasing lactose free yogurt and almond milk in the close village and came to breakfast with our products. Furthermore our reservation (through ***********) indicated the possibility to have dinner for 20 euros per guest. We had dinner just the first evening. At check out I realized I had been charged 25 euros per guest. It isn't for 10 euros extra I paid, but the matter of principle. I asked to explain me the reason and I was told 20 euros was last year price. I explained it wasn’t true, as the 20 euros price was clearly indicated on *********** reservation on June 19th 2022. I asked to talk to a manager to have an explanation. I was told that the manager would have come at 11.00 (lucky her/him who can arrive to job al 11.00, next life I will choose as a job to be Belle Helene Hotel director). It was 9.00, so I paid and left. The same day I left (3 days ago) I wrote an e-mail to the director to complain: after 3 days I still haven't received a reply. BAD CUSTOMER CARE! I wonder they think they are building a great reputation treating tourists this way to earn 10 euros more.

Ένα πολύ όμορφο ξενοδοχείο. Ακριβώς πάνω στη θάλασσα σε ένα μαγευτικό κόλπο. Με καταπράσινο κηπο με ελαιόδεντρα που καταλήγουν στη θάλασσα. Σε ιδανικό σημείο για να εξερευνήσετε όλη την Μανη. Φιλικό προσωπικο όλο χαμόγελα. Επιλέξαμε superior δωμάτιο και ήταν value of money. Θα ξαναπάμε σίγουρα!
