Very nice country hotel in the countryside near Duxford IWM, reasonable rooms, beautiful old building, free parking. All fine except the shower temperature knob was stuck on "burning hot" and when I reported it to reception upon checking out I was told.. "it's the customers' fault, they keep forcing the knobs out". Had the response been "Sorry sir, we apologize" my overall opinion would have been different.

An amazing stay! 13th century building but rooms very modern. Staff excellent, extremely friendly and helpful. Came down late for breakfast on our 2nd day, no problem, a full English breakfast was provided for us. Fantastic, couldn't recommend highly enough. I'll be back. 10 out 10

We had a lovely stay at the hotel, although it was very noisy being able to hear conversations through the walls. Breakfast was buffet style (I stuck with cereals as didn't know how long the food had been out and also looked very greasy)

Working away at weekends is not always ideal, but what we do look for is nice accommodation with great food and staff that are very accommodating. And on my first experience at the RED LION. this ticked all the boxes. Staff had a can do Attitude. And the chef’s evening meal was fantastic. And a Hearty full English breakfast in the morning was not too much trouble, even though we were early. Would highly recommend this venue whether it would be business or pleasure to the local Aerodome museum close by 🙌 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Called in on the off chance for a quick bite to eat and wasn’t disappointed. Fantastic fish and chips, well presented and my dad couldn’t stop raving about it all night. Very well looked after by Brett and will definitely be calling in again soon.

Located in a quiet setting, with ample parking at the door, the Red Lion is a hidden gem where patrons are put first by staff. The building is over 500 years old yet retains it charm and comfort. Couldn't recommend it more.

Limited menu in evening. Breakfast was a fiasco! Never saw anyone at all. Hot Buffet food left out with no eggs of any sort. No glasses for the fruit juice. No plates for the toast. Came down at 8:10am returned to room at 8:50, nobody to be seen. Not good enough. Expensive drinks too. Room was good as was the bar staff on arrival and evening.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Gave good recommendations and were willing to try and resolve issues. Very accommodating of having a dog with us which made travelling much easier. The shower was great!
Heating wasn’t adjustable in room which meant it was very hot. Food was good, although breakfast was a slightly odd mix.
Overall enjoyed and would stay again.

Omg amazing food and service! After recently moving into the area we heard the red lion Whittlesford was under new management so I thought we would give it a try. I am so glad we did the roast dinner is absolutely amazing. The portion size is great and the gravy is the best I’ve ever tasted. We have also eaten on weekdays from the daily menu And the food has been outstanding. We are so lucky to have this on our doorstep and will definitely be returning again and again.
