Red Lion Dunston

Fantastic little place. Room was lovely,cosy and comfortable with all the little added extras! Shampoo conditioner soap tea coffee biscuits and plenty of milk! Parking right outside our lodge. Restaurant is across the little car park, lovely homemade food. Breakfast was amazing too so much choice. Staff were excellent very friendly nothing was too much to ask. HIGHLY RECOMMEND A*****

Any aspiring hotelier, hotel inspector could learn a lot from this superb inn. Room spacious and comfortable with everything you’d expect plus a nice touch of bottles of water and bag of crisps! Also best shower we’ve found on our trip. The pub itself is also excellent. Good atmosphere, excellent choice of beer and wine, superb tasty food and very welcoming landlady. This really is what an English pub should be. Sad I could only stay 1 night. Wish it was my local. Dunstable villagers very fortunate.

Fabulous stay in our chalet style room, loads of space and super comfortable. Very clean, light and airy. Towels were lovely and smelt fresh. Felt very homely. Had a fish and chip supper in the pub across the courtyard from our room which was absolutely delicious. Breakfast was also served in the pub. A delicious full English breakfast with orange juice, tea and toast. Fantastic host and staff.

Clean, comfortable self-contained room opposite the pub. (No 1) Twin beds and plenty of space. Hangers/storage etc. Separate bathroom with shower. TV. Kettle/coffee. Ideally convenient for the pub. Parking right outside the room too. Friendly landlord & staff. We were having a post-wedding family get-together drinks for circa 35 people in the pub. Aged from 8-70. Looked after impeccably by Megan throughout the day. A total star. Hardworking, efficient, and dealt with all requirements with a smile. A credit to the Red Lion. Friendly locals too. Great day and a very pleasurable stay. Will definitely use again.

We had a 2 night stay here while we were visiting the area. Booked it fairly last minute and we had a lovely stay. John, the landlord, was so nice from the minute we arrived, and nothing was too much trouble. The accommodation was lovely-spacious and airy twin room, with tea and coffee making facilities. Nice big shower room with fluffy towels and toiletries. Plenty of space to hang clothes and stash luggage. Very comfortable and warm, no noise from other rooms. Plenty of easily accessible parking. Breakfast was lovely-full cooked breakfast with plenty of tea and toast. Had a couple of drinks both nights-good selection in the bar and John makes you very welcome. It’s the kind of pub you’d want as your local. Village is very pretty and quiet. Good for plane spotters as Waddington and Coningsby are nearby. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again. Stayed at the red lion 20/08/22. Accomadation was of a good size. Bed was comfortable and the room very clean. The host was very welcoming and we had a lovely tasty breakfast . All in all a very pleasant stay!
