Cromlix

This was our first time staying overnight at Cromlix and it did not disappoint. From the lovely welcome at reception by Shona and the glass of arrival fizz, till our departure, the service by every staff member was outstanding. It is such a cozy, unpretentious environment that has been created and we could not fault it. Drinks in the bar were good and dinner/breakfast was delicious. We were upgraded from a cottage room which was a nice surprise, our room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. We will definitely be returning.

Quite simply the best afternoon tea. On arrival we were greeted with a very warm welcome and our car was parked for us, which was an unexpected bonus as the weather was terrible. The staff were attentive, the cocktails were delicious, and the food was amazing. (Not a sandwich in sight). The decor and ambience are also really well done and the grounds are beautiful. Would highly recommend.

I was very kindly given a voucher for The Cromlix as a leaving gift when changing jobs. Husband and myself live locally so visited for dinner. The place is beautifully decorated, lots of beautiful artwork and the furniture, in fact everything is just stunning. Dinner was absolutely amazing, we both thoroughly enjoyed every last mouthful. Our drinks order was wrong but as everything else was 100% I was not complaining. Already booked again for our anniversary later in the year. Yes it's a wee bit more expensive but it's worth every penny, go and treat yourself.

Outstanding !! Our visit to Cromlix was to celebrate my partner's 60th birthday with a four-course lunch in the private dining room with 10 friends. We were met on our arrival by two staff and taken to the Billiards Room, where Ellie and Cameron were waiting to serve drinks to our guests. As the weather was lovely, we then ventured outside to enjoy the gardens, and to play Cornhole, Chess and Croquet on the lawn before lunch. Lunch was simply outstanding, the best dining experience I and our guests have ever had. The pace of the meal was perfect, we were unrushed and had plenty of time to enjoy each delicious course. The dining room was stunning, with incredible floral displays throughout the hotel. The service was faultless and all staff were attentive to our needs throughout the day. As the sun was shining, Ellie and Cameron suggested that coffee and petit fours be served outside under the canopy, making it a perfect way to end a perfect day. Even in the thick fog of today, (added to the atmosphere) The Hotel and surrounds are stunning. Cromlix is a beautiful setting, inside and out. Afternoon Tea is a delight. Sarah, our server today could not have been nicer. What a lovely young lady. All the staff are all so pleasant. The chefs should be commended for creating everything served. Lovely afternoon. We stayed here following our wedding for a few nights. We had two nights booked and had big plans to head into Glasgow, out for lunch and dinner but once we arrived we knew we wouldn’t be leaving! When you arrive you are greeted at the door, your car swiftly taken by the valet, offered the most delicious Prosecco and given the warmest of greetings. Staff are knowledgeable about the hotel and give great insights of what to do during the stay. We were then taken to our room which was stunning! Indeed the whole hotel is magnificent. The decor is modern while keeping all traditional features. Our bedroom was spacious, with a beautiful lounge and large bathroom with the best bath I have ever been in! We were exhausted post wedding so had room service the first evening which arrived on a tray and included a brilliantly cooked steak and all the luxury of eating in the restaurant! The next day we had the most delicious breakfast which included a Bloody Mary station! We then opted to stay in the hotel playing with the outdoor games, then onto the billiards room! Our dinner and lunch in the hotel were also exquisite and the service was exceptional! We also had the pleasure of meeting Judi Murray who was utterly charming and incredibly friendly. We would definitely return!!!! Thank you Cromlix for making us feel so special and valued!!!
