Travelodge Dumfries

I can only comment on the 2 rooms that I have actually stayed in. The first room I stayed in a while ago was cold, even though the heating was on. The room was dated and grubby and I said I wouldn't stay there again. However, I did stay again a few days ago and what a difference. This room was excellent. Very warm, looked like a new heater, very clean, looked like new curtains and carpet. Bathroom was spotless. Data the receptionist was such a lovely, friendly person, a credit to the company.

Stayed here for 1 night as a stop off point to break up a journey from the Midlands to Loch Ness. We arrived an hour early to be told rooms would be ready in 20 mins. receptionist gave us a parking permit to use in Dumfries so we drove in and explored for an hour or so. Upon return we got the keys to our 2 rooms. They were huge - a king size and 2 singles in each. We would have all fitted easily in one room but that's what the website told us to book. Anyway at 30 quid each a night we couldn't complain. One room did have an old vape juice container under the bed but otherwise the rooms and bathrooms were spotless. The next receptionist recommended a few places we could go for dinner and the place we chose (Lockards Farm Pub) was fantastic. Got a good night's rest before heading out early the next day - as the hotel is located in the servies complex, we opted for the starbucks just outside for coffees and light snack before hitting the road. Only downside of our stay was the lack of phone coverage inside which meant if we need to access the internet we had to go outside or pay for it.

The so called accessible rooms have showers over baths!! Dangerous and if wheelchair bound youd not be able to shower. These rooms have larger doors and 2 of the smallest single beds I have ever seen.

Short last minute booking due to an emergency at our arranged accommodation.The cost was also very reasonable.

I travelled up from Liverpool and there was a problem with my booking. Pete was very helpful in amending it for me and couldn't do enough to help. Room was comfy and clean and even though it's next to an A road, it was very quiet. Would stay again.

Nice and clean, friendly and very accommodating staff. Everything you would want from a budget hotel, nice and close to the local amenities, and you literally have a Greggs outside the front door, which obviously works as a breakfast option.
