We have stayed here many times over the years. We hadn’t been for a couple of years and read some bad reviews. We arrived to find the pub next door had closed so we approached with caution. We needn’t have worried. All the staff, without exception, were friendly and helpful. They are a credit to the company. The new restaurant is better than the pub. The room was spotless. We will be back.

We stayed four nights over half term at the Premier Inn Dumbarton with our two-year-old while visiting family in the area, and the experience was wonderful from start to finish. The staff were absolutely lovely — every single one of them. From reception to the breakfast and dinner teams and housekeeping, everyone went out of their way to make our stay special. They were all so kind to our toddler, chatting with him, offering colouring and crayons, and making sure he had something he liked for dinner. One member of staff even offered to upgrade our breakfast booking to include dinner so that we could save some money, which was really thoughtful. The most touching moment came when they noticed it was our son’s second birthday. When we returned to our room, we found a little bag of birthday treats waiting for him, along with some juice and chocolates for the adults. He was absolutely delighted — such a lovely and personal gesture. The hotel itself was spotless, the food was good, and everything ran smoothly throughout our stay. I highly recommend this hotel, not just for the excellent facilities and cleanliness, but especially for the wonderful staff who made our visit feel genuinely special.

Clean, comfortable hotel, friendly staff, great location for visiting Glasgow and Loch Lomond. 20 minutes from the airport and minutes from Edinburgh.

Great stay. Room was lovely and clean and on ground floor as requested. Ali (Alistair) on reception/social restaurant was really helpful and cheery and gave us some local guidance too. Not my first visit here and will definitely be back.
