Hotel Taschenbergpalais Kempinski Dresden

Everything from the room, staff, location, and breakfast was superb!

The hotel location is perfect. I stayed in a suite but it is smaller than I expected from the pictures in the website. The toilet/WC is separate and far away from the shower/bathtub area. The floor is mostly wooden/ parquet and small carpeted areas below bed and below sofa/chairs in the living room. There is cooling system BUT NOT COLD AS AIR CONDITIONER. They offered to bring a fan if needed. Overall, I like the hotel especially with his location and hotel design but I will visit in cold months.

Gorgeous hotel with a wonderful and attentive staff. Despite being smack in the middle of all the touristy things, I thought my room was so quiet and felt secluded from the hustle/bustle from outside. I had a couple of billing issues that the staff was quick to resolve and work with me on. For all US Military/Civilians - they accepted my VAT with no issues! The breakfast buffet was great and had lots of options for whatever you were feeling. The coffee was delicious and served in a full cup for those of us used to mugs! Loved every minute of my stay and didn't want to leave!

This hotel is beautiful! Great location! Rooms are modern and nicely done! Breakfast buffet is one of the best! Concierge service and red attendants very helpful! I would go back to Dresden just to stay at this hotel! Being so close to the sites was a plus

This hotel is truly extraordinary. First of all, the location is amazing-literally footsteps to some of the greatest attractions. The building itself is beautiful. The lobby and the public spaces are gorgeous. The room itself was wonderful-large and very comfortable with lovely bedding and fluffy pillows. The bathroom was lovely with lovely amenities. The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially the concierge who was most prompt in answering questions before my arrival. This hotel is certainly a must for any visitor to Dresden.

My wife and I have just departed the Taschenbergpalais after a stay of 5 nights. We reside in the U.K. and the hotel is one that we have stayed in many times in the past 20 years and so it is one we know well and love. We have to say that the remodelling and redesign is an absolute success. All the work has not been completed yet but throughout our stay, we were never disturbed at all by any rebuilding work. We stayed in a Palais View room overlooking the Zwinger Palace and it was quite superb with its blue panelled walls and brilliant new bathroom. The newly designed corridors and public rooms are breathtaking. However,what hasn't changed from the old Taschenbergpalais is the kindness and professionalism of all its staff One last word about the breakfast on offer here. It is superb with choices of egg dishes, fruit,breads,jams,marmalades,cold meats fish etc. If you leave here in the morning hungry, you haven't tried hard enough ! So,welcome back,the new Taschenbergpalais. The Grande Dame of Dresden is back and better than ever
