Ringhotel Drees

We chose this hotel because it was near the Arena, where an event took place we wanted to attend. First of all it was rather easy to find, the underground station is really near the hotel. There are also a lot of restaurants, a bank and other stores around. It's also easy to reach the city center via underground. At night it was rather silent and we could sleep well. The staff was always very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was also good and everything I needed was there. The room we had was good size-wise. The bathroom was new and looked really lovely - apart from the hairdryer which probably should be replaced as well. The rest of the room furniture wise was old. It was in fact okay, but it showed such a big contrast to the bathroom and the new lobby that it left a not so good impression. I don't know if the hotel will be refurbished soon, but right now the room stands out from the rest and looks like an old unfitting chair in the middle of a modern room. The carpet should, however, be replaced in the not too far future as there were quite some stains. The bar area downstairs was alright as well - but they don't serve any cocktails there. So it's more a beer-bar perfect for football fans to gather and discuss the latest games! The hotel also has a pool, but again, this area looks a bit old. Maybe some decoration would be helpful to give the pool a more friendly look and make it more modern? If you want to go to the pool you just need to be prepared to walk for a while, as it's in the back of the building. But it's easy to find. I just though that the hotel is a bit pricy for what it offers. The location is good, breakfast as well. Rooms are average and old apart from the bathroom, but the staff is really friendly.

Arrived at hotel to a very warm welcome. Staff very friendly and provided information about hotel and local area. Rooms were comfortable and very clean. Shower excellent restaurant served excellent breakfast food varied and fresh. Overall excellent experience staff very helpful and very nice hotel

Weil unser Hotel in Herdecke ausgebucht war, wurde für uns das Hotel Drees gebucht. Da ich im Rollstuhl sitze, gab es spezielle Anforderungen. Es wurde sich sehr umuns bemüht. Alle strahlten Kompetenz und Freundlichkeit aus. Jeder erfüllbare Wunsch wurde uns erfüllt. Auch im Restaurant wurde auf Wünsche eingegangen. Das Essen war sehr schmackhaft und von sehr guter Qualität. Wir werden das Restaurant bestimmt gerne wieder besuchen. Vielen Dank für die gute Betreuung.

Das Ringhotel Drees liegt fußläufig von den Dortmunder Westfalenhallen entfernt. Die U-Bahnhaltestelle "Polizeipräsidium" befindet sich direkt vor der Tür, so dass man problemlos und schnell in die Stadt fahren kann. Check in und Check out verliefen schnell und freundlich Das Einzelzimmer, in dem ich untergebracht war, war angenehm groß und sauber. Das Bett war bequem, auch wenn es mir persönlich etwas zu weich war. Reine Empfindungssache. Das Bad hat ebenfalls die passende Größe. Das Frühstücksbuffet bietet eine große und leckere Auswahl. Ich habe schon ****-Hotels besucht, in denen das Frühstück noch vielfältiger war. Aber hier will ich nicht vergleichen und auch berücksichtigen, dass ich nur eine Nacht in diesem Hotel war. Dazu kam, dass der Frühstückssaal mit vielen Gästen gefülllt war. Zum einen gab es an dem Wochenende mehrere Events in Dortmund und es waren auch einige Hochzeits- und Taufgesellschaften im Hotel. Die Highlights des Hotels sind der Saunabereich UND das Schwimmbad. Ich finde es toll, morgens vor dem Frühstück bereits ein paar Runden zu schwimmen, was bereits ab 7 Uhr möglich ist. Danach startet man frisch und munter in den neuen Tag. Insgesamt hat es mir im Ringhotel Drees gut gefallen und ich werde beim nächsten Event in Dortmund wieder dort übernachten.

Top Hotel mit allem drum und dran. Zimmer wie man es auch erwartet. klasse Essen. Frühstück auch wunderbar. Kleine Sauna, aber okay. Personal sehr freundlich. haben immer ein Lächeln auf den Lippen Parkplätze sind auch vorhanden in der unmittelbaren Umgebung.

Wir waren für 2 Nächte im Ringhotel Drees und alles war bestens. Die Lage ist optimal, wenn man ins Stadion will (10 min Fußweg) und trotzdem auch gut a die City angebunden sein möchte. In der Seitenstraße vor dem Hoteleingang konnten wir kostenlos parken, da war immer was frei - trotz Fußball-EM. Unser Zimmer war um 10 Uhr bereits bezugsfertig, das war auch top. Alles Sehenswerte und die EM-Locations waren zu Fuß leicht zu erreichen. Zimmer sehr sauber, Frühstück klasse und Personal in allen Bereichen äußerst nett. Wir werden wieder dort buchen, wenn wir zu einem BuLi-Spiel nach Dortmund kommen.
