Blue Horizon Xicheng Hotel

We stayed at this Blue Horizon about 4 times before Covid, and we always liked it. During our recent stay, there were still a lot of things we liked. The rooms are clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room rates are good. The breakfast is excellent. The beds are on the hard side, but that is common in China. You can tell the hotel is getting a little old as it was built in 1994. However, it has been kept in very good condition, and many of the rooms seem like they have been remodeled. The big negative for us was the air conditioning. It was hot in Dongying while we were there. Even when the air conditioning is running normally, it does not work very well. The only control in the room is a fan speed control, and even at high speed, the room does not cool very well. The problem is that they turn off the air conditioning system for hours during the day and night. When the air conditioning was off, the room would get very hot. It was so uncomfortable, that we were forced to check out and move to a different hotel. Apparently the Blue Horizon is having financial problems, and I am guessing that they turn off the air conditioning system to save money. We also heard that the employees are not being paid regularly. That is unfortunate because the employees at this hotel are wonderful.

6號凌晨12點左右入住，共兩位成人，一位12歲孩子和一位長者，我們跟服務員確認是否特價大床房衹含一份早餐，答覆是，我們協商，孩子這兩天腸胃炎，早飯就喝點粥之類，能否免單，答覆説不行，已經給我們升級了大床房，不能再優惠，早飯優惠交10元。孩子身體不合適，需要跟我們一起住標間，長者自己住大床房，於是詢問服務員能否升級標間，不升級大床房，服務員説標間不能升級，如果當時服務員告知我們特價大床房是2.2m的床（一直沒搞明白大床房升級後有啥提升，後詢問酒店在線客服回覆特價大床是2.2m，升級後是新裝修的1.8m床），我們和孩子就去住大床房而不用兩人擠一張1.1m單人床，但是當時沒有告知。住的標間排氣扇開關是壞的，無法打開，淋浴間浴簾很短沒有落地，洗澡水會濺到外面，浴巾上有3個黃色污點，早上發現床單尾部有1個黃色污點，更差的是早飯，8點多去吃飯，粥沒了，説不會再，牛奶也沒了，後來端上來一些涼的，麪條是煮完了泡温水裡的，豆漿是機器打的寡淡的沒味道，豆腐腦是酸的，聽到兩個服務員對話説不用再補餐，否則浪費。衝著藍海的服務和早餐豐富定的，這次體驗感很差，比較失望。

本次入住西城賓館非常滿意，從前台到樓層服務非常感動，前台除了提供茶水，還提供熱毛巾，樓層得知我帶着長者入住，還提供了泡腳盆、晚安粥，晚上還給我贈送了水果，早餐也是非常豐盛的，品種非常齊全，房間的價格也非常實惠，停車很方便，停車場很大，我們推廣還給我們提供了離店禮物！
