Premier Inn Doncaster (Lakeside)

I spent 2 nights at this hotel in mid June 2024. As soon as I got there I noticed that the room was boiling. I asked reception to either fix it or move me. They couldn't move me and said they would try and fix it remotely. I gave it 30 minutes and after no change I went back to reception and they could only provide me with a desk fan. This meant I had two nights of being really hot and uncomfortable with poor sleep. If you take the Air Con issues out of the equation, the hotel is spot on for most peoples requirements - clean, great location etc.

We stopped here on our way down to Southampton to board a cruise. The staff are excellent and the Lakeside shopping centre is extremely door

The hotel was fairly new and had everything I expect from a Premier Inn. However Mandira on reception was one of the best I have ever come across. So helpful and accommodating and with a lovely personality.

The ladies on reception were very helpful and caring and couldn’t do enough to support us to get an early check in. They were supportive and sorted me with an early check in I know that they were very busy but they were great and have been a really help. Great ladies and would recommend coming here 👍🏆🏆

Large room but thermostat couldn't go lower than 19°C which was too warm for me. Otherwise I had a lovely view of the lake sofa and bed so when I spent an afternoon enjoying views from my room, I comfortably stayed on the sofa in the day and had a fresh bed at night

A very welcoming check in by Nikki Mandra The room was very clean, there was tea and coffee making facilities. A window that actually opened! (With a lock) It was in an ideal location for the stadium, which was an 5 minute walk and the pub was next door too. All in all a lovely stay. Thank you Elaine & Freddie

I was pleasantly greeted on reception, and very pleased when I requested a room with a view and was given a spacious room with beautiful views of the lake and greenery. The general feel was completely relaxing and I would certainly encourage others to try this hotel for good hospitality and comfort

Staff talking, laughing while we are trying to sleep at 4-00– 5-30am. Printers doing off banging as files are replaced.

We have just returned from two separate stays at this hotel in the past week as we used this as a stop off on the way to and from our main destination. The hotel is quite modern and is separated into two buildings. We stayed in the external building the first night and the main building the second night. Both nights were exactly as you would expect from a Premier Inn, nice sized comfy room, good air conditioning, and most importantly very very clean. Probably the cleanest Premier Inn we have stayed at for some time, very impressed. All the staff we encountered were very friendly upon check in and check out. We went for breakfast on one of the mornings and again, I have to say, one of the best Premier Inn breakfasts we’ve had, really nice Beefeater pub, very clean and a good hot selection to choose from. Plenty of free parking on site, had no issues finding a space. My only minor complaint would be that when staying in the main building we were given an adjoining room, and we could hear the guest next doors phone call and TV as if he was in our room, which of course means, that they could hear us perfectly as well, which is never a comfortable experience. Nothing the hotel can do about that I suppose, but wasn’t the most comfortable night knowing they could hear us and we could hear them perfectly through the door. Over all, we would definitely return to this hotel in the future, we often visit Doncaster as a base when visit the area for various attractions, and this is without a doubt the better Premier Inn in the area.
