The hotel itself was absolutely stunning and the staff there really made the trip the best it could have been. Specifically Pablo from the animations team ,Chawki at the bar and all the restraunt staff. They really made an already amazing holiday even better, and even more memorable.

The hotel is nice and you can switch in between the two hotels which is good BUT the staff are RUDE if your English they don’t have the time or day for you,the slam the glass down on the bar,they don’t make conversation with you like they do with the French,Germany,my partner waited 20mins for a drink at the bar but the bar men was serving people who were there after my partner,food is ok,bar management is shocking ran out of beer had no coke for 3 days only 1 bar staff also no vodka for days on end,breakfast is at 7 and half of the food ain’t out yesterday I had 2 wait 10mins for my omelette as they was still puttin food out..!! This morning I went for a coffee and the machine wasn’t on the man asked if I was k I said I was waitin for the coffee machine to be turned on he told me to use the other machine so I said I don’t like the coffee he’s reply was well the machine is off and walked away I came back to my room FUMIN..!!!!! Me and my partner ain’t the only people that have said the staff are RUDE..!!!!! They have made me feel sooo uncomfortable it’s unreal,I love my holidays but I can’t wait to get out of here….!!!!!

Not what we expected. The hotel was advertised as adults only, this was a deciding factor on booking it, but it was full of children. Also, there was major building work taking place using heavy noisy equipment, something I think we should have been made aware of. The hotel caters for mainly French, so not many of the staff spoke English and all the menu's and food descriptions were in French. A small bar with very limited choice of drinks on an all inclusive package and tonic water had to be paid for, which I found very unusual, a cost of 9 dinar a can. I bought a load of cans from the supermarket for 1 dinar each and just ordered gin and ice from the bar. The entertainment was virtually non existent, consisting of the occasional singer and karaoke in the bar. Fortunately we could use facilities in the sister hotel next door, including the bars, but still had to pay for tonic water which add decent entertainment in the large bar and theatre. The room I had was very nice. It was ground floor with a nice terrace a few steps from a shallow pool and it was nice and quiet. The food was reasonable, but a lot of times it was cold. The animation staff were mainly situated in the hotel next door but they were very friendly and made an effort to include everybody in the activities. Getting around outside the hotel was easy. Taxis were plentiful and very cheap. Would I stay at this hotel again? No. I probably wouldn't stay in Gjerba again, I don't speak French so it was very difficult communicating with people as hardly anybody spoke English.

I was at the Cesar Thalasso Hotel in May 2024. It was my second vacation at this resort. The food was excellent, the cleaning every day, the pools clean. I would highly recommend your employees, who were always smiling and helpful. Whether it was a gardener, cleaners, cooks, receptionists or waiters and bartenders. They all deserve a lot of praise. Thank you very much to all the hotel staff for a wonderful time, it was a great vacation.

Check in was a little weird, got to the reception desk and told to leave our luggage and go to the restaurant, I assume that they thought we would be hungry after the journey but we hit the bar instead, an hour or so later we went back to reception and our cases were taken to the room for us. Room: First impressions weren't the best, the rooms are little dated and a bit run down however everything was serviceable and clean. WC and shower/bathroom are separate. WC: clean and worked fine if a little dated Bathroom: Over the bath shower ( very good with hot water all the time ), separate sink area with large mirror, again, dated but worked fine so no issues. Bedroom: large with a wall mounted TV ( no channels working properly throughout out stay ), prep area, under counter fridge in a cupboard, seating area. Two single beds pushed into each other but both had separate bedding, understandable as our Passports do not share our married name as my wife never bothered to change hers because she has a few years left on it, so the Hotel probably assumed we were not married and therefore no double bed, this is usual and we have had this before so in no way is this a criticism. Side cupboards to the beds with lamps on each, unplug these for a socket to charge items ( mine had an annoying little green light that could not be turned off and lit up the entire room on a night, had to use a cushion to block it out) Facilities: Low Season ( New year 2024 ) 1 Bar to service all guests, service was hit and miss but we usually got what we wanted eventually , All Inc runs until 11.30pm, after that its chargeable. Draught beer OK, wine terrible :-) , spirits all local, it did us fine so no complaints there. Restaurant: Small and cosy buffet restaurant, options limited due to the amount of guests it services so pick your food carefully, local options available however we found that sometimes the food was just warm and not hot, now I understand that its hard to keep food hot all the time and we found that attending at opening time was best to get the best options and hottest food. We did make some complaints ( about certain facilities being closed, only 1 bar open and the food ) to easyJet, who helpfully and without our permission, passed this onto the Management, who then requested our presence in the Reception office one morning, we initially felt a little intimidated however soon realised that the three people sitting across from us were simply trying to improve our experience and understand how they could improve the facilities for us, we explained that our complaint was mainly with easyJet who sold the holiday to us as an Adults Only Hotel, which it clearly is not. Having established that our concerns had been addressed we left the meeting happier in the knowledge that we were listened to and our concerns were onboarded and addressed. The next time we visited the buffet, as soon as it opened, the food was piping hot, plentiful and absolutely lovely.
