Kasa Cadillac Square Detroit

Very happy with our stay. We had a room with one bedroom plus livibg with a sofa that could turn into a bed and equipped kitchen. Very spacious, everything looking new, modern and clean. Location is wonderful, walking distance to most venues and restaurants. Parking building right in front with reasonable prices. All instructions for check in and out are very easy to follow and timely. All in all great stay and we will be back.

You want to like Sonder Randolph - good location (by Detroit standards), and close to Riverwalk, and Greek Town. Airy with plenty of space. Decent bathroom and shower. Italian shower amenities. Ample, and large towels. But. It feels cheap'ish. The furniture, bedding, utensils, etc. feel like they were purchased to 'streamline cost structure' . Perhaps it's understandable, given the room price. What was less understandable were the stains on a towel and sheets. Perhaps cost minimization taken to extreme.

This super-clean apartment had all the amenities of a typical hotel room (plenty of towels, extra bedding, designer toiletries, coffee/tea and kitchen amenities) at half the cost. The apartment is within walking distance or a quick Uber/Lyft from all of Detroit's major attractions, restaurants, and shopping, as well as a full grocery store (City Market, a couple blocks away). We walked around the neighborhood pretty late at night and never felt unsafe. We only had one issue; the outside keypad didn't always function. Fortunately, there was always a security guard on duty to let us in.

Beautiful and well furnished apartments with a nice view of downtown Detroit. Fantastic location with restaurants and high street shops in a safe neighbourhood. Apartments were very clean and stocked with functional utensils.

We arrived mid afternoon Sunday and were delighted by the number of establishments open, and the vibrant pride celebration all around us. We hit 6 bars Sunday, each with their own charm and atmosphere. The Checker Bar across the street was the perfect place to cool our heels. Cadillac square was beautiful, and was a great point of reference Monday as we walked for coffee, the Immersive Van Gogh experience and a walk along the river. We visited 4 new bars Monday, all within walking distance. The security personnel were helpful and polite. The public safety van parked next to the Wayne County building lured us to sleep with it’s lights Sunday, and we felt just as safe on Monday and Tuesday.

All in all, I booked a room here with all of the shady review. Upon staying, I realized this place was great. We’ll stocked with everything we needed, very clean and very comfortable. It was a very nice place to stay in a safe neighborhood. I couldn’t even give advice to change anything because it was that well. There was parking nearby, and food. Security guard on the ground floor to greet us and make sure we were all set with everything, even answered some questions about the city for us. I love that it’s a no contact zone and everything is up with the times. If I could give this place a 10 star I would. 10/10 would recommend and will be staying at a Sonder again.

Perfect location and great walking distance to downtown! Very safe with lots of security too and a gorgeous view! We walked everywhere basically, but you can also use Uber too! Overall, great stay and would stay again! P.s. place has a full kitchen, Roku TV and washer/dryer if needed for long stays! Also bring a eye mask if you are sensitive to light while sleeping- blinds cover most of light from buildings but not all!

Loved it.. I felt right at home!!! Will definitely be back next time I visit Detroit. Perfect area, can get out walk n plenty of places to go eat or just relax. Glad I found this place, they’ve got a future returning customer fasho.

Loved the room. It was clean and had no issues checking in. Get the app it works well and communicating with the staff member was very easy. My code worked fine as well to get into the building and the room. Its nice not to carry a key. I thought mine was a queen bed but it was a double. So i recommend getting the superior studio for the queen bed as the double can get uncomfortable for a couple. It can get a little crazy at night on a weekend since there is a 7/11 attached to the building. There is a city building across the street as well so there is alot of cop activity there and the 7/11. The 7/11 will get crazy and they will have metal detectors going into the 7/11 on a busy weekend. There are homeless people passed out infront of the 7/11 sometimes and they can get aggressive, but I didn't really have any issues this weekend. There is security inside Sonder and it's nice to have. Elevators worked fine as well. It isn't a normal hotel so response for extra items can take awhile depending on how busy they are. However, they were quick the next day on delivering extra items. It's best to stay on the higher floors. It goes up to 10 floors. We were on the 9th so the crazy street noise isn't too bad. Having a kitchen is great and the city market which is a 4 min walk was very convenient. They are open til 2am every day and they have everything from groceries, convenient needs, liquor, and a deli. You do get the occasional motorcycles and those sporty cars revving it down the steet and it is LOUD. The walls are kinda thin as well and we had a room infront of the elevators so the foot traffic can get loud sometimes depending on what you are there for. The elevator ding goes right through the doors. So if you know you need extra items. Ask for them before checking in. If you are staying for more than 3 days they only give you one extra toilet paper roll. So request for more. 😊 Over all great place and good location in downtown.
