El Moore Lodge

We had a wonderful experience including an easy check in, enjoyed the outdoor garden house to eat with friends, and warm breakfast atmosphere. The neighborhood is vibrant with a park, great organic grocery store and cute bar kiddy corner from the lodge.

Such a neat historical place! Our room was spotless and smelled clean which I greatly appreciate. Staff was by far the nicest people I have met in the industry. Loved the quaint atmosphere and felt very safe in the city. The gated parking lot and fences that can only be opened by room card was a great reassurance. We plan on staying there again when visiting in the future!

What a gem! Beautifully restored, comfortably appointed, and featuring the most amazing attention to detail… the El Moore is a must stay if you are in the area. Located in Midtown, and close to Wayne State, the DIA and Corktown, the Starlight Cabin was well designed and very comfortable. Loved that the design of the headboard matched the design on the charming punch metal sign outside the cabin. The continental breakfast was very good and we were delighted to find that they feature baked goods from our favorite bakery - Crust in Fenton. Quality coffee and tea are available all day. The parlor looked like it could be in a magazine and was so warm and inviting. The grounds and building were gorgeous and well decorated. We were pleased to find out the beautiful courtyard on the corner and the little bougie market (our favorite kind) were all connected to the El Moore. Every item in the market had been carefully curated and featured a wonderful selection of the very best wine, beer, charcuterie, grab-and-go, and more. The staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly. The El Moore ranks as one of our favorite stays anywhere.
