We needed to get away from the children for a night to have some time for our relationship and we chose a “staycation” at The Godfrey for a night. We rented a room with a King on the 4th floor. The room was extremely clean, as was the rest of the hotel. All staff were very polite. We were in walking distance to man of our favorite restaurants. We walked to Ima, Lager House, Two James and more. A very nice experience. In the morning we headed to Honest John’s on Seldon St. for some great breakfast. Great hotel stay at a fair price.

The property is very beautiful and the neighbourhood seems mostly charming but to get into the area feels a little unsafe. But once you’re inside it’s gorgeous. The room is very comfortable and well decorated.

It was a nice stay! Got there a little early was able to check in no hassle. The only thing is had to pay another fee once I got there and it wasn’t said when I booked the room. Parking was bad unless you did valet which was $35

Property was good. I didn’t like that there was no self parking available. Staff wasn’t the best. My room wasn’t ready when it was check in time so they gave me a room with a bad view. When we discussed this the service desk lady had an attitude and didn’t seem to care. Also bartender was a bit abrasive and not too polite. Overall staff wasn’t very good and no one seemed like they wanted to be there. Not what I would expect from a “5 star hotel” The hotel was clean and beautiful.

It was very clean and gave a modern, yet old school classy feel at the same time. Great staff, breakfast from room service was delicious.

We had an amazing time at this amazing property. Nicole (Nikki) at the front desk was phenomenal. She was so personable, she was friendly, she had a great know well of the city, she was funny, she was extremely welcoming and helpful and we left our stay at the Godfrey feeling like we had a new friend. She recommended we eat at Hamilton's the main floor restaurant and it was outstanding with it's food and atmosphere. Honest to goodness, we had the best burger of our lives there! The room we were in was lovely and well put together and clean. Nikki also suggested we check out the theme of each different floor of the hotel, which was a different famous person on each floor. Overall our stay was incredible and we would go back and stay ANY TIME! Home run with the Godfrey Detroit, Hilton!
