"The Deluxe Room with Patio is a damp, cold, and moldy room. It lacks proper insulation and has no heating in the freezing bathroom, where water runs down the walls. There's thick mold growing in the hairdryer cord. Towels are still wet 36 hours after use. We ran the bathroom fan for a few hours while leaving the light on (because of the connection between the light and the exhaust fan, but it didn't help at all). The air conditioning remote was set to 29 degrees Celsius upon check-in, which we found strange. Even at 29 degrees Celsius, the room couldn't get warm; it was only 1 or 2 degrees outside. I did request two extra duvets, but even then it was simply too cold to stay in the room. Sleeping in bed with my clothes on...it's beyond belief. The room isn't suitable for renting when the outside temperature is below 12 degrees Celsius, as I mentioned at reception. It's also not clean. I dropped something, and I found all sorts of things under the bed. The mattress topper had shifted considerably, which makes me think the cleaners want to spend as little time in the room as possible. The garden is a paved area with a hedge on either side, and there's a lot of privacy from the rooms at the back, so you really need to keep the curtains closed. And what's strange is that the website says the price includes electricity... yes, because you have to run the air conditioning to keep the temperature even remotely stable. The room isn't worth the money. Don't do it!"

"Update: The hotel response has morphed into further inconsistencies, and the hotel now says they never said one person at a time, from two different hotel staff including the hotel manager, that two people imagined they said one person at a time in the elevator at a time multiple times and we replied multiple times, in writing, and that the elevator is fine and not an issue. Worse, upon careful inspection of elevator photo, the hotel does recommend one person only in a subtle way to cover both sides in case of an accident. This hotel has serious concerns beyond astonishingly poor customer service. Is there any way to leave a minus review? Words cannot describe what a place this is and what a terrible manager they have. I hope she reads this and asks what SHE would do if she were trapped in an elevator at a hotel and they said it was "not their problem". We went to see a show in Rotterdam. We arrived at the hotel at 12:30 AM - we informed the hotel we would be late and they left a key. They did not have late check in personnel. Very tired, (two) 2 people went into their microscopic glass elevator. We DID check if it could hold us (attached) - we're about 150 between the two of us - it shows two people and 300 kilos. About halfway to second floor, the elevator locked between floors. We were a bit surprised. We managed to read the instruction for locked floors, followed them carefully, and still it did not work. There was no telephone number in the elevator, and the alarm button was so loud - it didn't ring anyone but makes noise - we thought we would wake the whole hotel. By pure luck, there was another kind quest who came by and saw us trapped. He tried to get us out but it was sealed from the outside as well. He found a number that went to voice mail. He called the police and they sent a fire truck. The elevator became very warm and humid - we managed to take off our coats one by one. We were inside for some time. Before the fire truck arrived, a hotel staff somehow heard the voicemail and came with a special tool that unlocked the door - we climbed to the next floor level and got out. She said it was an old elevator and it happened frequently, and they tell people one at a time. NOWHERE in the instructions did it say anything about one at a time nor it is it posted in messaging sent to us prior to arrival. Worse, why can the elevator only take one at time? The hotel offered us coffee (included in the breakfast) as compensation, and not even an apology."

"There were people coming in and out of our room for no reason? Some person opened the door and entered the room while me and my partner where sleeping and then said **** and left for no reason? Please be more careful with these incidents I could've sued. Also a fridge / minibar would be nice, our breakfast expired after one day because there was no fridge even though we stayed in the most expensive room"
