We had a fantastic stay at Kaathkuni Homes during our recent trip to Dehradun! Our group consisted of 6 adults and 2 kids, and the property was perfectly spacious to accommodate all of us comfortably. The location was ideal, close enough to Dehradun for convenience yet far enough to enjoy peaceful surroundings. The staff at Kaathkuni Homes were incredibly attentive and hospitable. From check-in to check-out, they ensured that we had everything we needed. The cook prepared delicious meals that catered to our group's diverse preferences, and we thoroughly enjoyed every bite. The cleanliness of the property was impeccable, and the serene atmosphere made our stay incredibly relaxing. The road leading to the property was easily accessible, which was convenient for our travels in the area. We particularly loved the picturesque views surrounding the property, adding to the overall charm of our experience. Inside, the house was spacious and well-appointed, with a fully functional kitchen that allowed us to prepare some meals ourselves. This flexibility was much appreciated, especially when traveling with children. Additionally, there was ample parking space around the property, which was convenient for our group traveling in multiple vehicles. The gardens surrounding the property were beautifully maintained and provided a lovely setting with benches and a swing, perfect for enjoying the peaceful surroundings. Overall, Kaathkuni Homes exceeded our expectations in every way. We would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat near Dehradun, with excellent amenities and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Falling short of words to express how amazing this place is! From the rooms to location to the breath taking views, this place is nothing short of a safe haven! If you want to relax and get away from the hustle bustle of Dehradun, pick your vehicle and drive away to this place! You’ll find absolute peace and tranquility. Not to mention, the hosts are wonderful, friendly and very accommodating people :)

The property is surrounded by lush greenery and gardens with spectacular views. It has a beautiful river at the close proximity where you can reach via road or do tracking to enjoy the most. It has several rooms and each room is air conditioned and has a pleasing ambience and cleanliness. They all are equipped with a sitting area, WI-FI, desk, wardrobe, attached kitchen with other endless amenities. We really loved the foods served for breakfast, lunch and dinner... besides all this we played games like badminton, cricket at the accommodation. This property is nothing sort of enchantment and we were truly mesmerized at the place. Perfect for all kinds of travellers and certainly a must visit place

We visited Dehradoon, Mussoorie, Chakrata and Rishikesh. During our trip we stayed in Kaathkuni homes and all our excursions were planned from Kaathkuni homes itself. We stayed there for 8 days in 2BHK Villa with 2 Families with Kids. This has been one of our best vacations in many many years. Hospitality which Mr. Sarabdeep and Mr. Hari from kaathkuni homes extended to us is simply out of the world. Even before our trip, they helped us in planning the itinerary, followed up our travel till we reached the property, arranged for the transport etc. Real Magic began when we reached the place :- 1. Property is situated very close to Dehardoon at the same time in a very scenic and peaceful location. It is very well maintained and a perfect vibe for good slow living and a peaceful vacation. 2. Food which Mr Kapil prepares is simply finger licking, All through our stay we relished the food which demanded examples Momos, Aaloo Paratha, Upma, Pulav, Chicken, Egg Curry etc.....We need not worry about anything ... 3. Mr Hari is a a thorough gentleman and a very nice person. He spent sometime with us explaining the Uttarakhand topology. We planned our excursions Like white water rafting, Para gliding, Ziplining, walk in Landour etc....everything was well planned and executed 4. There is a stream near the property, we trekked and played in water, made tea on the stones etc etc ... Overall this is a true slow living experience which we had, away from the busy stressful city life....Best thing to describe this vacation is, when we were checking out, all of us we sad as we developed some kind of bond with the place and the people who were serving...my daughter even in tears which checking out.....I would recommend this place a MUST Visit for anyone ....be it bachelors, Family, elderly etc .....Overall Trip Rating is 10/10 and all thanks to Mr Sarab, Mr Hari and their team We already are missing the place after we arrived in Bangalore....Will soon visit again

As the name suggests, Kaathkuni Homes isn't a hotel or a resort, it's a home. It is how most of us have imagined our home in the mountains to be. Peaceful. Relaxed. Comfortable. With a view you can keep watching while sipping on those umpteen number of teas or coffees. I am very skeptical about a place when I am taking my family out anywhere. And am extremely glad that I landed at Kaathkuni. It's a place where my entire family, across age groups - the youngest being just 1 year old, and the eldest being 65- year old, spent quality time together. Right from the time the car was parked, the staff there (Vipin and Deepak) greeted us courteously. We were lucky that Mr. Sarab were there himself to welcome us. It was like a welcome a family members give when you come home. They helped us get comfortable immediately. Mr. Sarab showed us around and told us about the recyclable materials used in its construction, the DIY workshop where they use the scrap to make something meaningful and useful, the plants and vegetables that are grown there and a lot more. Kaathuni has a kitchen to serve its guests with delicious food. But it also has a fully-equipped kitchen in its Villa and 1 BHK home in case you do not want to miss on the quick urge to make tea for yourself, or satiate your hunger pangs with a quick Maggi, or want to make your favourite dish yourself. The lower part of the 2BHK Villa has a spacious living room, kitchen, toilet and a bedroom. It overlooks a beautiful lawn with blooming flowers, and ample space for people to sit or even play. The upper part, another bedroom with an attached toilet, has a huge balcony (terrace balcony) that overlooks the village, and has a great valley view. It was hard to decide whether to sit in the lawn or in the balcony! Both of them have a great feel. There are a couple of outside sitting places as well, including 'TAPRI' which is a perfect place for a bonfire, barbeque or just to sit and enjoy the serenity of the place. Kaathkuni also has some small memoirs from people who have lived there in the form of their paintings on rocks, or the plants planted by the elderly people there. It's a great way of making this place YOUR HOME. If you are planning to visit this place, don't think twice. Just go and visit :) It's an experience that makes you want to keep coming back to it.

Our first experience with AirBnB and homestay, and what an absolute gem to find! We were a family of 4 plus dog. The location is accurately marked on (Hidden by Airbnb) maps and the drive from Delhi was a breeze. We took our BMW sedan and had no trouble with the roads. They also have ample parking. Pre-stay, the hosts were proactive in checking with us on our requirements and making sure all arrangements were in place. When we reached the site, my first reaction was … this looks exactly like the pictures! I usually discount marketing pictures because the reality never matches the hype. In this case, it was the opposite! The pictures are exactly as-is, and the gorgeous views actually went way beyond the pictures! The property is utterly picturesque, beautiful garden with a huge lawn and fragrant jasmine trees ***** a white fence. It has spacious airy rooms full of light, clean and well set up bathrooms, kitchenette with amenities. Two bedrooms and the upstairs one opens onto an immense balcony with panoramic views. And best of all, wonderful screen doors everywhere to keep the night insects away without closing the views! The property is part of a gated community, so it’s private without being completely isolated. The kids and doggo had a ball racing up and down the hill, on the well banked concrete road, without need for leashes or much supervision! There are also nice trails and treks around, which the hosts will happily point out. If the property looks idyllic, it’s brightened up with the beaming smiles of Deepak the caretaker, and Vipin the chef. Two of the sweetest staff I’ve seen, they were eager and enthusiastic in ensuring we had the best experience possible. Whether it was extra pillows, fresh fruit from the market, special diet chillas cooked just so, or separately cooked food for our dog, we just had to mention it and they made it happen! Vipin’s food was wonderful and we made multiple requests for momos, jeera aloo and bread pakoras! Despite having a kitchen and cafes nearby, we preferred to stay in and enjoy his wholesome cooking. They also set up a lovely DIY barbecue for us by doing all grill and food prep. All we had to do was light the fire, set the skewers and feel like pro bbqers! And of course it tasted amazing! The hosts were very hands on. They were always available and checked in from time to time to ensure we had whatever we needed. We wanted a slow living break home away from home, and hit jackpot. Apart from walks and hikes, we didn’t feel the need to leave the property at all, though there are enough tourist spots nearby. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a break and looking to recharge. It’s also a great place to ‘work-from-anywhere’ with good wifi speed. If you have pets, they will have a blast running around. The property is fenced and safe to go off leash. We just returned from a week there, and I’m already trying to plan another stay there! We had a pleasurable stay at kaathkuni homestay. I think that it was best gift for my mom on mother's day to spend time at kaathkuni home stay which is so connected with nature and they have such a sweet and humble staff who are always ready to help even after their working hours. Because of their good hospitality, my mother had amazing stay at kaathkuni. As she needed it more after spending 2 years at home due to pandemic. Thank you so much for your generous hospitality.
