Sarovar Portico Dehradun

I ***** with my wife are staying at MJ Portico Sarovar for the last four days and courtesy & looking after by the hotel staff continues to amaze us. While hotel is neat and clean with enough open sitting space at reception level, it is the behaviour of the entire staff from security to reception to housekeeping and at the restaurant, which keeps you in a happy mood. Yesterday we were served by Head Ajad, Chef Laxman, Restaurant Manager Sanket, Waiters Bhupinder and Tauseef. The more is said about their taking care of our personal choices in foods to looking after during our entire dinner time, the less it would be. Special meals were prepared for my wife in spite of buffet being served. Everyone is so eager to serve you and make your stay a pleasant one.

This place was my second choice… Good part: On main road, good food joints nearby, nicely made. Bad parts: Window is useless. It opens on wall right away. You need to request room slippers You need to request for basin napin It takes time for hot water to come. TV won’t start then need to call room service. Reception staff ok ok. Not very welcoming. Worst: There is no mattress cover on the mattress. Straight way they have put the bed sheet. So all night you will be feeling the rough lines of the mattress and not feel good about it. House keeping tells us that we don’t have mattress cover. I would choose a different place next time. See image. Expensive place for this price and service.

I had recently stayed at sarovar portico hotel because I liked the food there very much or i liked the staff there and they also provided parking facilities or whenever I come to dehradun i would like to stay sarovar portico again food was very good...

Stayed here as wanted to be closer to the city centre. The location and service was good. The biggest disappointment was the room. While the the bed was comfortable, the linen and the towels were not white anymore. The shower gel fixture in the shower was continuously leaking and the worst was the constantly leaking water from the health faucet. The breakfast was average. Wouldn't stay here again.

Good rooms. Housekeeping needs to improve in terms of s rocking up beverages etc and also bathroom cleanliness
