Bernina Bed and Breakfast

My recent stay at this hotel was a nightmare from the beginning. Despite confirming our booking for 10 people over the phone, upon arrival, there were no available rooms. Some in our group even had to cancel their trips due to this mismanagement. The manager, Mario, promised to find us rooms but failed, leaving us scrambling to secure emergency accommodations at a much higher cost. To make matters worse, Mario assured compensation for the inconvenience, but this promise was never fulfilled. Communication was a significant hurdle throughout the ordeal. The lady at the reception, who confirmed our booking over the phone, struggled with both English and German. This language barrier only added to the chaos and frustration. I strongly caution potential guests against choosing this hotel. The combination of unreliable management, broken promises, and communication issues can easily ruin what should have been a pleasant stay. Learn from our experience and look elsewhere for a more reliable and accommodating option.

I feel compelled to share my extremely disappointing experience at the Bernina Hotel in Davos. My friends and I had made a reservation well in advance for a ski weekend, specifically for 10 people through Booking. To ensure everything was in order, we even called to confirm the reservation shortly before our arrival. Little did we know what awaited us. On the day of our arrival, the hotel staff seemed completely unaware of our reservation when the first couple arrived. They acted as if they had no knowledge of our booking. After a prolonged wait, only one couple was given a room, while the remaining eight guests were left without accommodation. It was truly shocking and frustrating. Despite having confirmation and proof of our reservation, the hotel claimed they couldn't find it or confirm it, even though we had spoken to them on the phone. We were left with no choice but to hastily find alternative accommodations, which ended up being more expensive. The communication with the hotel manager, Mario, was absolutely abysmal. He initially promised to find us another suitable arrangement, but ultimately failed to deliver on his word. To make matters worse, we were also promised a reimbursement for the additional costs we incurred, but to this day, we have received no response to our emails, let alone any compensation. I cannot stress enough: Stay away from this hotel. Even awarding it a single star would be overly generous. The experience we had was beyond disappointing, and I urge anyone considering staying at the Bernina Hotel in Davos to reconsider their choice.

Clean, quiet, great location but expensive Davos is expensive! No surprise there, I know, but I expected a little more from the hotel for the amount we paid. The good: It's a walk of under 10 minutes from the train station, ski lifts, stores and restaurants. The room was very clean and quiet. Nice towels. Glasses (not cups), which is good for the environment Could be improved: The curtains are thin and don't block the street lamps. The shower is a standing stall in the corner of the bathroom with a curtain and a shallow bottom, so it soaks the floor. We requested that our room be cleaned because we were almost out of toilet paper, but the housekeeper didn't add any paper and we had to ask for it at the front desk. No kettle, coffee or tea. Toiletries are in individual plastic bottles rather than eco-friendly dispensers. Note that the front desk is not staffed for parts of the day, so if you arrive earlier than expected, you have to call (which we couldn't, as we had no cell service and the staff wasn't on WhatsApp).

Schlichtes und gemütliches Hotel - gut organisiert Ich kam spät an und obwohl die Reception nicht mehr besetzt war, hat alles bestens geklappt (mit Code für Schlüsseltresor). Das Zimmer war sehr schön und die Bedienung am Morgen sehr freundlich. Gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Vielen Dank!
