Former Holiday Inn, quite okay, in the center of the city, close to old town

The hotel is situated not far from the old walled town and equal distance to the shopping area. Formerly a Holiday Inn now independent. The rooms are large and comfortable with good work desk and wifi. Comfortable bed gives good rest. The fridge had been removed but there is kettle and plenty of water, every day some fruit was delivered to the room which I appreciated. Hotel has gym, swimming pool and two restaurant, given the price it was very good value for money and I would happily stay again.

We booked the Embassy Suite for a night. The room was very spacious, and the beds were comfortable and clean. However, the toiletries and amenities (no fridge for example) are very dated. The staff were very nice and welcoming and the location is perfect, very close to the old city and easy to get in and out of Datong. If they would maintain the rooms a bit this can be a great stay.

It was very nice hotel. I love that hotel. Clean and location was not bad. Seems like that the swimming pool need to fix it. But not bad, that's nice.

Unfortunately the hotel did not correspond to the booked and promised standard. It is very old. The carpet in the room had a lot of stains. has it been professionally cleaned since it was built in 2010? the sheets had some holes in them and there were a lot of stains on the walls. The fridge was damaged and not working. We had booked the room for 4 people. However, we were consistently only provided with 3 towels and bathrobes in the room. it would be very desirable if the housekeeping was informed about the guests! The breakfast (from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m.) was okay. The Western breakfast included coffee, yoghurt, butter, jam… Unfortunately every type of bread/toast was very old and dry. on the second morning the cornflakes were empty. the answer of the waiter "mei you" (we don't have it). After asking again and pointing in the direction of the kitchen, the waitress brought 2 bowls of cornflakes to our children. the pool area needs to be cleaned urgently. There is a lot of rubbish and a lot of dirt/dust on the cupboards in the cold and rather dark changing room. opening hours are until 10 pm. however, the whirlpool was already turned off at 8:40 pm and the water drained. we didn't feel very welcome. the employee probably wanted to call it a day. the question about towels was answered with "mei you" (we don't have it). later, she brought us 3 more pieces.

Was good/ free parking/walking distance to the city wall and other attractions

The room was big and very clean. English speaking service is quite limited but in general it was somehow doable to communicate. The breakfast room was unfortunately very crowded and noisy. As result, the breakfast was a bit stressful and the service could not refill the breakfast buffet in time.

這個酒店，有游泳池，小朋友很快樂 老酒店，前台服務不錯，客房人員一般，聞着枕頭被套有油味，要求換，必須通過前台才給換，早餐很豐富，電視機不能投屏，衹能看有線電視，不要在大同古城騎這個電動車，你騎一分鐘也是 15 塊。對大同印象不太好，古城裡頭逛起來，車子帶着你繞，自己騎車帶小孩不友善

貴賓樓在大同賓館院內，屬於老牌國營單位，酒店位於大同的主要街道迎賓街上。院內停車位充足，園林式酒店，周邊環境安靜，很適合睡眠不好的人。床墊和床品都很新，枕頭很舒適,泡個熱水澡後，分分鐘進入夢鄉。去老城步行前往，酒店附近有很多好吃的燒烤和涮肉。如果不想出門，酒店內的餐廳味道不錯。

一方頗大的院落，大同賓館和貴賓樓坐落其間。環境幽雅，漫步園林。樓上北側可遠眺大同古城。酒店緊鄰一側是興國寺公園，該寺雖然微小簡陋，卻是全國重點文物保護單位。貴賓樓酒店準五星級，頗受歡迎，每天客人絡繹不絕。人多難免對早餐環境造成影響。不過，早餐質量頗佳，從山西刀削麪至咖啡沙拉，一應俱全。貴賓樓門前一位年紀稍長的男子工作人員，迎來送往，態度和藹，待人真誠，特別點贊。

位置不錯，離古城算近的，服務好，每個人見了都禮貌微笑，尤其一位叫李建華的大堂經理，耐心介紹大同的景點，吃喝，見到每一位打車到大堂門口下車的遊客都會跑過去開車門迎接，下次來了還要住這裏。這幾天感受到了大同人民的熱情。
