Dart Marina Hotel and Spa

Wonderful welcome, really helpful with on site free EV charging , superb haddock and poached eggs fir breakfast , riverside location, stunning views, fun bar in the garden, and excellent cocktails on the hotel bar - all available outside too

Had a lovely stay in my husbands happy place, easy to park and breakfast in our room which was a treat and very good. Staff friendly but disappointed they wouldn’t bring our drinks to us on the lawn. That’s why you go to a hotel to be waited on and treated. Lovely toiletries in the room and a comfy large bed. Our room was near the staff smoking area so we could hear them talking and smell it from our balcony. Amazing views across to Kingswear.

The room was lovely, comfy, the bed was superb, beautiful balcony overlooking the marina, river and ferry. Continual interest all day. Plenty of storage. The downside to the room was the bathroom, she loved it, he didn't because the hand basin was too far away from the mirror for shaving, although there is a seperate little mirror it was insufficient, and the rainfall shower just spread water everywhere else in the room. The dining room is small with the tables very close together, not possible to have a private conversation. The tables are very small, not at all practical especially at breakfast. The dinner menu could have been better. Some of the staff are very good, friendly and efficient and cheerful with it, other staff are dour and brusque and really come across as not enjoying their job. It's a shame really but it's the little things like this which put people off from returning.

Not our first time in Dartmouth but our first to this hotel but it won't be our last. Fantastic location, good parking spaces, views to die for. Our room with a balcony overlooked the river & the ferry we could literally lye in bed and see the views. First thought was the room & bathroom seemed a bit on the small side but the balcony was big. The room was well equipped & the space well utilised. Very clean with lovely Molton Brown products. The breakfast was very nice in a beautiful room again with views. Waiter service, no buffet thk goodness . The bar was great , good selection of drinks etc. The staff throughout the hotel were all very helpful, attentive, we remarked how it was all run like a well oiled ship . The staff all seemed to gel with one another. This place is quite expensive for Dartmouth but having been we thought it was well worth the money.

Just returned from a two night break to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. From the moment we arrived until we left nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We were greeted with a happy anniversary by the lady on reception, which was a lovely personal touch. Plus, there was a note and bottle of prosecco waiting in our room. Breakfast was top-notch, with plenty of choice for hot and cold options, as you would expect in a 4-star hotel. We ate in the restaurant on one night, and the food was faultless though we both found the wine list a little disappointing and poor value.

We have just returned from a 2 night stay at this fabulous hotel. It was our 3rd stay there and there will definitely be a 4th (and more). The relaxation starts by arriving from the Brixham road which means reaching the hotel on the floating bridge (Higher ferry). The hotel is right there, on the river, minutes away from the ferry; an incredible location and views, which draw us back each time. The hotel is modern yet very classic and since our last visit has had a beautiful refurbishment; since one of our days was a weather washout, we invested the time relaxing in the lounge, the big windows making the most for us of the views, along with our complimentary bottle of rosé which is part of their current summer offer. The room was beautiful, with a balcony and seating, again so well situated for the views. Every member of staff was so personable, welcoming, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The reception staff do a fantastic job and our key contact, Rhian, felt like a lifelong friend within minutes of her welcoming us. The breakfast staff were so friendly and efficient, and we noticed were very helpful and supportive to older guests. All the staff, whatever their role are so visible and approachable. One problem, all this makes it so hard to leave at the end of the stay! And of course stunning Dartmouth itself is within 5 minutes walk and there is so much of interest to do. We couldn’t speak more highly of the Dart Marina and Dartmouth as a destination, as well as a base to travel round from. Thank you for a wonderfully relaxing stay to all at the Dart Marina.
