The architecture and interior of the resort was dreamy. The rooms are spacious, beautiful,clean and it felt like something out of movies. The staff here is very attentive, well behaved and helpfull. And the food was delicious with a lot of variety.

Truly unforgettable and magical, when you peep out of the window at 5:30 am & see the mighty Kanchenjunga & it's family, right across from you! Then you watch awestruck, for the next forty-five minutes or so, the different hues each peak takes, from orange to yellow to white, as the sun rises. And spread out below the mighty K is a panoramic view of Darjeeling town! The spectacular views from the room were only a part of the awesome experience at Cedar Inn! The General Manager, Mr Sanjay Nangia, and his team go out of the way to make every guest feel special, at every step of the way! Having stayed at many hotel chains in India and abroad, I'm not exaggerating when I say that the leading ones could stay at Cedar Inn & learn what hospitality and being customer oriented is all about. A lovely property & kept in immaculate condition by the hard working & well mannered staff. Service levels were impeccable, be it the front office or housekeeping or room service or at the restaurant. We were really impressed with the breakfast buffet - not only did it have a large (and ever-changing) selection, there were no shortcuts as far as the options were concerned, even when the occupancy was very low! They insisted on serving us our ala carte choices on the morning of our departure, despite it being bitterly cold & much earlier than their normal start time - Hats off!! As mentioned by almost all reviews, the shuttle to the Mall is extremely useful & they ferry you back & forth, as many times as you want, and smilingly too. We had dinner at the Hotel every evening and were pleasantly surprised by not only the humongous quantities but also the variety on offer. Food is very tasty & the Chef's specialities are worth sampling. One can spend hours exploring the wood paneled corners of the Hotel or walking about the grounds or relaxing at a wrought iron table in the garden, soaking in the sun & sipping a cup of tea. We spent 4 unforgettable days & nights at Cedar Inn & we'll definitely go back for more!

The best possible stay in Darjeeling . Every corner of the property has a story . It has a colonial charm with all modern amenities. The staff is extremely extremely warm and hospitable. The general manager Mr Sanjay himself caters to you personally and ensures that you feel literally at home . The rooms are spacious , warm with a direct view of the Khanchendzonga range . They have a beautiful lawn and you can have your private bonfire party. In short the best hospitality in Darjeeling.

Perched high on a hill at the top of Darjeeling, Cedar Inn is a charming high-end heritage style hotel with amazing views of the town and mountains. Staff are professional, knowledgeable, genuinely caring, and friendly and will customise their service to meet your needs. The rooms are spotlessly clean, warm, comfortable, and hot water is plentiful. Food is available via room service or in the dining room and is tasty and varied . Highly recommended.

Our family stay at Cedar Inn, Darjeeling, was nothing short of magical. The hotel exudes British-style charm, resembling a royal castle perched atop a hill, surrounded by vibrant flowers. The luxurious wooden rooms, spacious and elegantly designed, truly made us feel like royalty. The spectacular view of Kanchenjunga from the hotel is an unforgettable highlight. The breakfast was excellent, offering a wide variety of delicious options. A note for first-timers: while not mandatory, dressing formally during meals enhances the experience as the ambiance feels regal, and casual attire might seem out of place. The property is impeccably maintained, with spacious areas and a peaceful vibe. They offer a convenient shuttle service between 6 AM and 6 PM, which is a blessing since the location, while stunning, is quite challenging to access by foot, especially when going to or from the Mall Road. If you’re looking for a royal, serene, and luxurious getaway in Darjeeling, Cedar Inn is the perfect choice. Highly recommended!

Beautful and scenic hotel with very friendly staff. The room was beautiful with fantastic views of the snow-capped mountains in the distance. It is a very do-able 15 to 20 minute walk from the center of the city, but they also run shuttles regularly if you prefer. I liked the fact that this hotel had character and lots of beautiful details. Very comfortable sleep
