Sevonrich Holiday Resort

I would give this place a good, solid 4 if it was not for the suite with the windows, a portion of which was not glassed. As a result, bugs and insecs had obstacles-free access to our suite. In addition, we we were woken up at 4:30 - 5 am because if the roosters, dogs, and food truck passing by, all because of the unglassed portion of the windows. The owner did say they were going to glass all the windows after our departure and that they take the customers' feedback seriously. All the other rooms except ours were glassed. He also offered to relocate us to another, less spacious suite. The food was fine; there was a nice selection. We just wished we had yogurt, but it could be just us. The staff was amazing and accommodating. They brought juice if we asked; they did not usually offer it themselves except the first day when we arrived. Anything we asked for was usually done quickly and well. Their guide, who drove us to the rocks and to see the sunset, was very nice and friendly and went above and beyond. He def gets a score of 5.

My friends and I had a fabulous stay here! We found out about this place through a blog that raved about it. They exceeded all our expectations. The facility is lovely and very homey. The owner was incredibly generous and welcoming. The rest of the staff were warm, friendly and prepared amazing dishes. They also got up early to make breakfast for us so we could go on our early adventures fully caffeinated and fed. We absolutely loved our stay and would recommend this to anyone!

We stayed at this hotel in August. Milinda Buddika and his family made us feel right at home. The location of the hotel is great. It is located approximately 20 minutes' walk from Dambulla Royal Cave Temple and Golden Temple. Milinda picked us up and drove us to the bus station. He organized us a tuk tuk trip to Sigiriya, the surrounding pretty places and the spice garden. He and his staff cooked us delicious Sri Lankan food every day. I have to admit that this food was one of the best we ate during our 3 weeks stay. The hotel has a nice and clean swimming pool. The atmosphere was wonderful and definitely worth recommending.
