It is a good property with spectacular sea view. In hotel entertainment needs to be improved definitely . Staff is friendly and helpful .

Excellent views but the wifi signal is too poor to use. Excellent amenities. Bathroom door and fan are broken.

Booked directly with the hotel and got the free upgrade! Room was awesome, pools were good, The Aqa Gym and AqaZumba was fun. The restaurants were nicely presented, the buffets had a wide variety of options, including vegetarian. I also liked the private beach that all the hotel guests got to enjoy. Finally, the all inclusive drinks were definitely something I would recommend the hotel for.

I spent a week at the Out of the Blue Resort and Spa in August with my partner. I want to be fair and honest with my review. Pros: Incredibly friendly and hard working staff overall Lovely setting and beautiful grounds Good Air Conditioning in the bedroom Plentiful water supplied for your room, also juice and pepsi Cons; The hotel has clearly seen better days. The maintenance and the upkeep of fixtures and fittings is very poor and certainly not what you would expect at a reputed 5 star resort. Cleaning - very hit and miss. One day I returned to my "cleaned" room where my duvet had been thrown over the bed, and our pillows still showed our head imprint from the night before. Bathrooms given a cursory clean but stains on the furniture, shower incrusted with calcium deposits which made it difficult to turn on. Food: The buffet is a bun fight so do not expect a quiet relaxing environment. The food is plentiful but with very little flavour and general bland. Whilst I understand its difficult to cater for all tastes.... it feels like flavour is the price paid. A La Carte: These restaurants you have to pre book but availability is difficult. We arrived late at night and downloaded the hotel app to book. One restaurant was instantly unavailable for our whole stay. We were able to book to others on our penultimate and our last nights. Sadly again the food was bland and most of the elements you could see in the buffet restaurant. The one saving grace for dining in these is that they are calm and relaxed. The beach: The hotel has a private beach which is lovely - but we only got to enjoy it once. This is because from 7am all the beds are taken by guest towels. There are signs on the beach and by the pools that these cannot be reserved and yet it happened everyday. As a guest you dont want the anxiety of trying to move towels and then dealing with disgruntled guests. Not conducive to a relaxing holiday. The staff should enforce the no reserving policy, however they dont. There are "life guards" sitting around the pools and on the beach that could do this rather than chatting to other staff or on their phones all day. Overall I would give this experience a poor 3 star experience rather than the 5 star I was expecting when I booked. This was my third visit to Crete and sadly it was the poorest experience. Again I want to reiterate that overall the staff are very friendly and hard working. However I would not return to this resort again.

I stayed in this hotel in August. I read the comments about this hotel, so I expected the worst. The worst thing is the rooms in this hotel - because they are old, the air conditioner is not in the room, but at the entrance to the room. I want to note the very nice stuff - always pleasant and smiling. The location of the hotel, beaches and views are impeccable. I am satisfied with the spa and the massage, the massage therapist Nikos really does a great massage. I also want to mention the mini club, I don't know how they conduct classes, but my child did not want to go to the pool, but wanted to go to the mini club.

Stayed 4 nights in a very beautiful room with two floors and private pool. The hotel staff very courteous and help us for any question. Marina from the guests rellastions is the best. Two gorgeous beaches and many sw pool. AI program very good with drinks and food all over the day. The La carte restaurants were wow highly recommended.

The Photoshoot with GEO was really professional. It took only 50min. Me and my fiancé were very pleased with her approach. She knew what she was doing and told us everything what we have to do. If you go to Out of The Blue resort find her! We can 100% recommend it!

We immensely enjoyed our vacation and would like to thank the hotel team. Marina from guest relations, the food manager, the restaurant managers, and their teams are doing a great job, as are people from reception, drivers, and all other team members. The hotel is not new, but the rooms are spacious, and buildings with guestrooms are nicely spread in different parts of the beautiful, mature garden. The a la carte restaurants that we visited were in lovely positions with beautiful views. The food was good, with lots of choices. However, the music played at breakfast and dinner at the main restaurant was not according to our taste and not at all in keeping with the atmosphere. Gentle or local music would be much better at facilitating a more comfortable atmosphere. The beach is lovely, and the water is gorgeous and clear, but unfortunately, there is not enough space for all the hotel guests. All in all, for us, it was a great vacation.

The room was tidy and hotel service is great. I want to especially highlight Geo - the hotel photographer who has great approach to the hotel guests. We took a free, very proffessional photo session with her during which we were laughing a lot. Later if you want You can buy different gadgets with the photos or the photos themselves. She deserves 10 stars. Apart from that dishes in the hotel are nice. The views are beautifull and sometimes when the sun adds it magic - even breathtaking. The one thing that I wasn’t aware of at start, and the reason for which I couldn’t give it 10 stars overall is that i felt a little bit closed. I thought I’ll be able to go to sea anywhere or climb the rocks, yet there is a fence around peninsula and there are only 2 exits to beaches. Also the farthest part of the peninsula is reserved for private client and ordinary hotel guests are not allowed there.
