Auberge de La Maison

This hotel is amazing!! My husband and I came away for a short skiing break. We wanted somewhere that felt authentic to the mountains, laid back but with a luxury feel, great food and wonderful service. Not an easy ask. L’Auberge has it all. The staff are all incredibly lovely, helpful and go above and beyond. The shuttle bus to take you to the lifts is literally never more than a few minutes away and helps make skiing completely seamless. We stayed in Suite Rocher which has a massive bath in the middle of the room - it’s a gorgeous, spacious room with lovely amenities and amazing room service for cocktails or food. The spa is beautiful - it feels brand new and everything has been taken care of - dressing gowns, slippers, herbal tea, a lovely out to indoor pool, treatments available, sauna and steam room - the hotel was fairly busy but the spa just always felt very quiet and peaceful. Great food in the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast and the hotel even booked us external restaurants if we asked too. Thank you to everyone! We will be back.

Lovely location in Entreves, not far from Courmayeur. Great to have shuttle to take you to the cable car. NB: Quite a long walk outside shuttle times. Staff apart from front desk weren’t very friendly. That was a little disappointing Rooms were clean and comfortable. Lovely to sit by the fire at the end of the day

We recently stayed at the charming Auberge De La Maison in Courmayeur, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, the hotel exuded warmth and charm. The decor was playful, meticulously designed, and wonderfully representative of the local culture, creating a delightful ambiance throughout the property. The staff were exceptional—professional, welcoming, and always willing to go above and beyond to accommodate every request. The owner, a woman with impeccable taste, was present every single day, personally overseeing operations and ensuring everything ran seamlessly. Her hands-on approach and attention to detail truly set this hotel apart. A special mention goes to Davide, whose attitude of being “at our disposal,” as he often said, exemplified the highest level of hospitality. When a snowstorm made finding a taxi for our dinner reservation impossible, he graciously drove us there and picked us up afterward, even though the hotel shuttle service had already stopped for the night. His kindness and professionalism are something you rarely see these days, especially in the US. Another standout was Gabriella, who accommodated every request and answered all of our questions with remarkable patience and care. When my husband felt unwell one evening, the owner personally called a pharmacy (which was already closed!) to have it opened so we could get the necessary medication. This level of care and service is truly extraordinary. The food in Courmayeur is unparalleled. The meat, prepared with fresh local herbs from the mountains and local pork fat (lardo), is incredibly flavorful and unlike anything we’ve had before. The porcini mushrooms were outstanding, the walnuts so fresh and tasty, and every dish was crafted with the finest local ingredients. Breakfast was equally exceptional, featuring heavenly milk, cream, and butter. While Courmayeur boasts many fantastic restaurants, the hotel’s restaurant L’Aubergine was our favorite. We also dined at Cadran Solaire, a wonderful restaurant owned by the hotel but located in the town center, which offered equally delicious food and an excellent selection of local wines. Our room offered magnificent views of Monte Bianco, and everything was impeccably spotless, from the room to the linens and towels. On our departure, the hotel arranged for a local and trusted driver to transfer us to Val d’Isère. His expertise and familiarity with mountain roads gave us peace of mind, and the hotel even packed a delicious breakfast for us to enjoy on the way since we didn’t have time to eat before leaving. True hospitality, like what we experienced at Auberge De La Maison, is rare and makes us want to return again and again. The only downside to our stay was that it was too short—just 7 nights. We can’t wait to go back and experience this magical place again. Rating: 5/5
