Paradisus by Meliá Salinas Lanzarote – All Inclusive – Adults Only

We stayed here last year and loved it so much we stayed again this year and if anything, the hotel was even better this time round. All the staff deserve a mention as they work tirelessly and are always friendly and smiling. The food was great, we liked the addition this year of the seafood night at the buffet with the opportunity to try lobster and other shellfish, the tapas lunch at La Graciosa was great (the ribs, wow!) and the shack burger is a must try. The evening entertainment is quite chilled and starts at 9.30 for about an hour and a half. In particular we loved the candle light piano duo and the rock band. One thing to note is that this is a properly chilled out hotel, there's sometimes aquagym or once a week a pool party around the pool during the day but other than that it is really relaxed, minimal/no music, so if you are looking for something more vibrant this hotel may not be the one for you. I also read some of the reviews and heard some people moan about the time it takes to get a drink at busy times but we never waited more than 5 minutes at the pool and 15 minutes at the ginger bar in the evening which in the grand scheme of things isn't long to wait when you're on holiday and surely in no rush to get anywhere! Also, if you are a sports fan then they have 2 big screens on in the ginger bar showing the footy, F1, golf etc in the evenings and weekends so no need to walk into town to find the game

First time visiting a Paradisus Resort and will definitely return again. The food and beverage offer is excellent in terms of quality and variety. The a la carte restaurants are superb, especially La Graciosa (lunch and dinner). The team at The Shack work tirelessly to serve drinks and the BBQ Burger (lunchtime menu) is off the charts. Plenty of activities to do in the daytime if you wish to keep busy, alternatively you can just chill out by the pool. Plenty of sunbeds available… The evening entertainment has been mixed however there have been some excellent artists who’ve performed (covers band, Latin Duo and soloist / pianist). The best event by far which got everyone having a great time and in the pool was Ramon’s pool party. What a legend and a great asset to the hotel. There is definitely room in the activity program for some more ‘lively’ events. Beach bar is also a must, great cocktails and a sun trap at the end of the day. In terms of music they need to play to the audience and understand what people want to listen to. Not play what you think they wish to hear. I don’t want to feel like I’m at a German House party or some techno dance. Finally, the spa which is superb. The staff there were lovely, as was the deep tissue massage! I can’t praise the staff enough from the moment we checked in. It’s been 5 star all the way and depending on my future plans I’d love to return be that here or another Paradisus resort. We have visited this lovely hotel a number of times and are always blown away but the structure and architecture of the beautiful buildings and gardens. The Reserve area is so peaceful; the lounge, breakfast area and the pool. The staff continue to give exceptional service in every bar, restaurant and at reception desks. We would like to thank Chandni and Karina on the Reserve for their help and patience, they couldn’t have done more to make us feel welcome again. The Reserve pool bar staff were fun and always gave a personal service preparing perfect drinks with a smile. Thank you to the top team of Delgado, Neomi, Zoubar and Jonathan. Look forward to meeting you all again in November.

We spent the most wonderful week here and can’t wait to return. The service was excellent from before we arrived and continued throughout our stay, with (almost) every member of staff going above and beyond to make the experience special. The location is great, right on the beach and steps away from the promenade which takes you along Costa Teguise seafront or, in the other direction, there’s a walking trail to Teguise if you’re feeling energetic! (Costa Teguise is not really a typical Spanish town - it’s very much catering for British/French/German tourists). The buffet food in the Malva restaurant was varied and tasty and we had no trouble booking all 3 of the speciality restaurants via the Meliá app - we enjoyed Capella (Italian) and La Graciosa (Canarian) particularly but thought the atmosphere and service at Samira (Lebanese) didn’t match up to elsewhere in the hotel unfortunately. We splashed out on the Reserve package as it was a special occasion and we felt it was worth it for us. The Junior Suite on the top floor was absolutely wonderful, we liked the quieter pool (yes it was cold at first but incredibly refreshing once you acclimatised!) and very much enjoyed the self service lounge. We tried the a la carte breakfast once but decided we liked the huge variety in Malva better! The Ginger bar was great in both the day and the evening and there was never any problem getting served - huge thanks to Marcos for his excellent service! The evening entertainment was low key but great fun with a variety of different bands as well as a DJ at the beach bar. My only real gripe, and it always gets me, is the inevitable timeshare/club/whatever they’re selling at this hotel pitch - just no! I’d also like a clearer picture about tipping - we do like to tip for good service and we did but it almost felt a bit clandestine! All in all though, it was an absolutely amazing and incredibly relaxing holiday and we are sad to not be lying under the palm trees with a cocktail in hand any more! We can’t wait to return.

What an unusual, but superb hotel! The rooms are modern & beautiful, food and service are worthy of the 5 stars. The beds are absolutely huge and really comfy memory foam. The pool is huge and even at peak season so many sun beds - pool isn't open until 10am and no sun bed reservations permitted. To be fair it's too classy for that shenanigans. Drinks are mostly branded & good quality. Pool is quite cold but refreshing in the heat. The a la carte restaurants are included but you need to book as soon as you arrive as they are booked up early on. Entertainment a local band if different styles each evening but it's a laid back classy relaxed affair. Shops bars and restaurants close by. Highly recommend this hotel for a chilled out holiday.

I had the pleasure of visiting this hotel with my partner and his parents in August. The hotel itself is stunning, the decor is second to none and everything is spotlessly clean. On top of that, I would say that the food is one of the best we’ve had at an all inclusive. The buffet has plenty of choice, all freshly cooked and delicious. But the real star is the Ala carte restaurants. They have 3 in total, our favourite being the tapas restaurant. The food is unbelievable and would highly recommend booking into all 3 on arrival. You can go to the tapas for lunch, order as many dishes as you like and they are all beautifully cooked. At dinner, it goes to a tasting menu which was beautiful. You are never without a drink and the views from this restaurant are beautiful. The rooms are perfect. Clean, modern and beds very comfy. The staff are all so lovely, with special thanks to Marcos. He always went out of his way to see us and say hello. But everyone is so lovely and nothing is too much. We did however have a poor experience at the ginger bar one evening. Whilst the entertainment was on we sat in the bar and waited 40 minutes to have our order taken. Before this my mother in law tried to go to the bar to order, but the barman was extremely rude, threw his hands in the air and shouted for her to go away and someone will be over. My partner then went to reception to complain, and the receptionist was lovely, went to speak to the bar and our drinks arrived 15 minutes later. But in total an hour is not acceptable to wait for a drink. Especially when the hotel is not completely full. We thought this may be a one off, but the next evening we had a similar issue with wait times and other guests we have spoken to have said the same about the barman being extremely rude. I think there needs to be triple the amount of waiters taking drink orders at this time. I will also add that upon arrival the check in desk try to push you into upgrading to the retreat option, which is an exclusive part of the hotel. The rooms are nicer, and has a small private pool for retreat guests, plus a restaurant for breakfast which includes service. We declined this option as we’re staying with our parents so wanted to spend time with them. But spoke with another couple who went for this option and said it was not worth it. It’s too quiet round the pool, so ended up spending their time round main pool. Plus the main buffet had more choice at breakfast, so was a real waste to them. They ended up downgrading back to their original package as it was £110 a night more, so requested a refund for the remaining nights which the hotel were happy to accommodate. Besides this, we had no negative experiences and would highly recommend. In summary, my positives are; - food is amazing - service/staff is great - rooms clean and modern - loads of sunbeds round the pool and the shack bar is good for drinks and food - entertainment good, not too cheesy but still good fun - decor in hotel

Wow. We were truly amazed at how spectacular this hotel was, from design, architecture, cleanliness to food, service and staff. This was a beautiful wellness hotel with a sense of real calm and relaxation. We were upgraded to beautiful sea view rooms which were spacious and always cleaned to a high standard. The activities on the beach/ pool were enjoyed by us all. Each restaurant was beautiful with great dishes on offer but above all they catered to allergies and for our children that really important. The pool is a little cold when you first step in and once you have dunked yourself in it’s lovely. The only suggestion i would make is maybe to have more parasols around as there are plenty of loungers. The bar area by the pool was great, kept us with a lovely cocktail in hand. We really enjoyed the live music at the beach shack each evening. I’m so looking forward to returning here as it really was a slice of paradise.

Great hotel to stay at for our 50th Wedding anniversary. Staff were amazing, friendly, helpful and always smiling. 4 restaurants to enjoy beautiful and varied food with 5 star service at all times. Special mention to Kelly for all her help in making our special anniversary something we will never forget.

We arrived at the Paradisus salinas lanzarote on Tuesday 6th August, staff incredible , Hotel excellent , location perfect where you have great walks to the local restaurants and shops.. I want to really shout out the Pool Party the hotel arranged for Thursday 8th August for a couple of hours.. the atmosphere was electric and it’s the busiest we’ve seen the pool with all guests coming together to enjoy the activities the DJ / the dancers and acrobats .. special shout to Ramon Fernandez the assistant entertainment manager who was excellent and ensured everyone was enjoying themselves … Best day of the week so far , ensure you do these regular and the guests will love ❤️ it . Also shout to Brenda who went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met in the Cappella Italian restaurant with a special request which was fantastic x
