My mother had a recent stay booked, and was so excited to see northern Italy, as she usually visits the south where her family was from. Five days prior to her departure for her trip, she was run over by a vehicle and dragged in a horrible accident. She broke her back, shoulder, ribs and nose, and was hospitalized 5 days. We were willing to provide any and all proof of accident requested. While I understand that a business must have a cancellation policy, and this policy says 14 days, she was hoping to rebook for May, to allow recovery- as she is unable to care for herself or even walk without assistance at this time. Instead, she was offered “until the end of business day” to book again by November 2. This is no where near ample time for recovery. In the end, she was charged as a “no show” (＞$1000 USD). Needless to say, we won’t be booking at this Hotel in the Spring. Nor will we be recommending to other fellow travelers, friends, or family.

We came for two nights at Cortina and stayed at this hotel. Absolutely fell in love with the town and this hotel so we added two more nights. Fortunately, we were able to continue our stay at this hotel. What a beautiful hotel this is. The room and staff were excellent and the meals, both breakfast and dinner, were absolutely great. My wife and I loved the little bar next to the restaurant. We would definitely stay here again. Also, you’ve gotta do the Refugio Lake Ajal hike. It’s a 1 hour walking distance from the hotel. Look it up.

Yes, definitely worth a stay for its: comfort, location, kind & welcoming staff, plus a stunning, endless breakfast! A solid "four-plus" for the crew at 'Franceschi'. While the building itself is a bit dated (or historic?), they have worked to update it in every other sense to make a traveller/hiker/skier feel welcome and ready to attack the surroundings. Do not pass on the basement "spa" and do enjoy daily happy hours in the sprawling bar/lounge area.

My photo group used this hotel for 3 nights and enjoyed our stay immensely. Location is great - very easy to get to and find. It offers easy walking access to the center of Cortina too. The rooms are plenty large and well-appointed with a true feel of an alpine lodge as expected in Cortina. The use of natural woods adds warmth to the rooms. The bathrooms are large for Italy and are modern and well laid-out. The bar/lounge is a large and well decorated with a nice offering of drinks. We were even given a coupon for a free welcome drink during our stay. The breakfast - what can I say - there are so many choices and everything I ate was delicious and fresh. The staff was quick to notice things and speak excellent English. I highly recommend the hotel and will be using it for all my future trips here! Mike

A welcoming and warm reception await you at the Franceschi Park Hotel. Every staff member from reception, to wonderful bar, to breakfast buffet were not only eager to assist you, but they made a point of making you feel welcome in this lovely hotel. The room was perfect, with an exceptional balcony, and comfortable in every way. The breakfast buffet was amazing - perfect way to start your day on the slopes! They have a wonderful ski storage room with heated boot warmers which was much appreciated. Easy walking distance to the center of town and ski shuttle bus right outside the hotel. Honestly this place helped make our stay in Cortina beyond excellent. Thank you Franceschi Park Hotel! We will be back!

This is a wonderful hotel we have visited many times. Beautiful rooms, lovely dining and bar and great staff. A free ski area bus stop is just across from the hotel. Ski days start with a plentiful breakfast buffet and end at the comfortable bar and beautiful dining room. Staff are helpful and rooms have beautiful woodwork and are spotless. There are nice single rooms as well.

Positive: clean, well maintained hotel with firm beds and well equipped rooms. Very helpful and friendly staff. Our room was renovated recently and had a stylish bathroom. Also, there was plenty of cupboard space for clothes. Negative: yes there is a ski shuttle, but down station of any ski lift takes 10-15 min to reach by foot if you miss the bus. Room ventilation could be more effective. All in all, we would visit Franceschi again.

Excellent location for a Dolomite visit, free parking, easy walk into town, fine room, blah blah, but the highlight for us was the service and the food and drinks. Dinner might be the best in town (we twice tried Il Vizietto in town and found the hotel dinner to be equally good and sometimes better). Martin was a stellar host in the restaurant and cared for our every need with professionalism and a dry humor. The bartender, whose name I forget, was also classically professional. Service all around was top notch, including front desk and housekeeping. Can’t wait to return to this home from home.

Lovely hotel. Staff was super kind and helpful for my first trip in the area. Restaurant was tasty for dinner and enjoyed the breakfast buffet in the mornings! It’s right down the street from the city square. Also enjoyed their spa amenities after s long day of hiking. Hotel room was roomy with 2 twin beds. Would absolutely stay again!
